Coach Treggs Classic – Eureka, CA

Jabari Merritt went off and had 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists and Tyrell Edwards added 19 points on 7 of 8 shooting as West Hills-Coalinga (3-5) upset 8th ranked Redwoods 73-70 in day one action at the Coach Treggs Classic. Drew Gillette had 20 points and Jon Nchekwube added 17 points for Redwoods (5-2) in the loss.

In other action, LJ Hallums had 23 points and Marcus Neal added 20 points as Mendocino (3-3) picked up their 2nd straight win with a 76-71 victory over Shasta (4-6). Derek Gorden had 20 points and Samer Singh added 18 points in the loss for the Knights.

In the final game of the night, Sierra (3-1) picked up a 77-68 win over Lassen (0-9). Cole Rutherford had 17 points and Darien Guyton added 15 points in the loss for the Cougars.

San Jacinto, CA – (1) Fullerton 73 (13) Mt. San Jacinto 55

Chazz Hutchison had 24 points and 8 rebounds and was a perfect 8 of 8 from the floor and RJ Banks added 13 points and 7 assists as top ranked Fullerton (7-0) crushed 13th ranked Mt. San Jacinto 73-55 on Thursday evening. Isaiah Williams had 12 points and was the only Eagle in double figures for Mt. San Jacinto (4-3).

Bakersfield, CA – Bakersfield 75 (14) Porterville 71

Tyrell Coleman had 19 points and 6 rebounds and Deandre Pemberton added 13 points and 10 rebounds as Bakersfield (4-3) picked up a revenge win knocking off 14th ranked Porterville 75-71. It was the teams second time meeting this season as the Renegades picked up the home win. Isaiah Josue had 17 points and Alberto Laureano added 20 points in the loss for Porterville (6-2) in the loss.

Wild West Shootout – Culver City, CA

In first round action in Culver City, Antoine Bloxton had 17 points and 5 rebounds and Damerius Wash added 15 points and 15 rebounds as 11th ranked Los Angeles Southwest (7-1) continued their hot start with a 87-71 win over Los Angeles Valley (0-6). Andre Parris had 15 points and 11 rebounds and Oleksandr Lut added 11 points and 5 rebounds for the Monarchs in the loss.

In the 2nd game of the night, Miles Oliver had 18 points and Dominique Daniels added 13 points and 4 rebounds as 3rd ranked San Bernardino (6-2) won their sixth game in a row with a 100-58 pounding of Long Beach (3-5).Khieem Williams had 13 points and Jackson Wimberly added 10 points for the Vikings in the loss. The win puts San Bernardino in the semi finals as the Wolverines will take on 11th ranked Los Angeles Southwest and Long Beach will battle Los Angeles Valley in the consolation bracket.

In other action, TJ Waldon made four three pointers and Gavin Davis and Justin Williams each added 15 points as 5th ranked West Los Angeles (6-1) continued to roll and won their third straight game with a 109-74 thrashing of Barstow (3-5). Christian Taylor had 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and Marc Docarmo added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the loss for the Vikings.

In the final game of the night, Al Najim Ashley had 15 points and Terrion Miller and Romaro Hutchinson each added 13 points as Compton (4-2) rolled to a 96-78 win over Moorpark (5-7) to advance to the semi finals of the shootout. Rocco Ponmpeo had 17 points and Chavis Carpenter added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the loss for the Raiders. Compton will take on 5th ranked West Los Angeles in the semi finals tomorrow while Moorpark will face Barstow in the consolation bracket.

Monterey Bay Classic – Monterey, CA

In first round action, Chris Bramah made five three pointers and had 24 points and 8 rebounds and Chase Durkee added 22 points, 7 assists and 7 rebounds as Foothill (2-4) moved to the semi finals with a 89-87 win in overtime over Hartnell (2-6).

In other first round action, Luc Krystkowiak had 18 points and Gavin O’ Neill added 11 points as Irvine Valley (4-3) won their third straight game with 78-56 win over Feather River (3-4) to advance to the semi finals. Kian Dixon had 12 points in the loss for the Golden Eagles who have now loss three games in a row. The win puts the Lasers in the semi finals as Irvine Valley will face Foothill in the semi finals, while Feather River will take on Hartnell in the consolation bracket.

In the third game of the day, Jayden Madise had 18 points and 11 rebounds and Chris Anderson added 10 points and 8 rebounds as 15th ranked Monterey (7-1) won their sixth game in a row and moving into the semi finals with a 64-54 win over Santa Barbara (3-6).

In the final game of the evening, Cypress (5-3) won their second game in a row picking up a 89-78 win over Diablo Valley (3-3). Casey Cappo had 20 points and Josh Niusulu added 18 points for the Vikings in the loss. Cypress will take on host Monterey in the semi finals and Diablo Valley will take on Santa Barbara in consolation action tomorrow in day two action.

James Clark Tournament – Sacramento, CA

Jordahn Johnson had 23 points and 11 rebounds and Brandon Fisher added 14 points as 10th ranked Las Positas (7-1) held off a vicious comeback from Fresno (3-4) and edged the Rams 90-89 in overtime. The Hawks led by 18 at the break and trailed in overtime by 6 but picked up the victory in first day action in Sacramento.

In game two action, Anthony Martinez had 20 points and Makhi Turner added 14 points as Reedley (3-5) edged Sacramento 64-60 early Thursday evening. Chris Gray had 19 points and 13 rebounds in the loss for Sacramento (2-6).

In the last game of the night, Patrick Parkes had 18 points and Kyree Dunn added 11 points as Cosumnes River (6-2) won their third straight game with a 69-64 win over Siskiyous (4-6). Zane lueth had 12 points and Kody Bauman added 10 points in the loss for the Eagles.

Sacramento, CA – American River 93 Solano 60

American River (6-3) picked up a 93-60 home victory over Solano (2-6).
