Not a lot of changes within the week one rankings as Fullerton stays put at number one in our Signal The Light Basketball Southern California rankings. Citrus, San Bernardino, and East Los Angeles remain in the top 4 and San Diego comes into the top 5 after a 2-0 week. Copper Mountain and Los Angeles Trade Tech have dropped out of the rankings and MiraCosta and Saddleback are new into the rankings for week one.

Signal The Light Basketball week one Southern California Basketball rankings.

1. Fullerton (2-0): The Hornets remain at number one coming into the new week after putting together two wins last week. Fullerton picked up a 89-76 win over Los Angeles Trade Tech and followed that up with a 114-70 win over Moorpark in their two games last week. This week, the Hornets will be in action one time as Fullerton will host 5th ranked Porterville on Tuesday night for their lone game of the week.

2. Citrus (1-0): The Owls stay put at number two following a win last week over Mt. San Antonio on the road. This week the Owls will be in action twice as Citrus will host 6th ranked Long Beach on Tuesday and follow that up with a road game against Pasadena on Saturday.

3. San Bernardino (0-0): The Wolverines stay put at number three after not playing last week. San Bernardino will open up their season on Friday against Compton as they are hosting the Alvin Hunter Classic with a top notch field over the weekend.

4. East Los Angeles (0-0): The Huskies remain in the top five at number four after not playing last week. This upcoming week, East Los Angeles will face Santa Monica in 1st round action at the Alvin Hunter Classic on Friday.

5. San Diego (2-0): The Knights move up one spot in our Southern California rankings after going 2-0 last week. San Diego cruised to a 95-56 win over Compton and followed that up with a 81-70 win on the road against Santa Monica. This week, the Knights will be off and return to action on November 18th when they will face Santa Barbara.

6. Long Beach (2-0): The Vikings move up two spots in the rankings after postinng two wins last week. Long Beach knocked off Santiago Canyon 89-79 and followed that up with a 88-59 win over Santa Ana. This week, Long Beach will be in action twice as the Vikings will face 2nd ranked Citrus on the road on Tuesday and then face Palomar at home on Friday.

7. Riverside (3-0): The Tigers move up two spots in the rankings after picking up three wins last week. Riverside slipped past Pasadena 61-58, beat Antelope Valley 63-51 and then knocked off Los Angeles Trade Tech 74-61 at the We Play Hard Tournament. This week, the Tigers will be in action one time as Riverside will host Los Angeles Valley on Tuesday.

8. Ventura (2-1): The Pirates move down three spots in the rankings after going 2-1 last week. Ventura lost their season opener against Saddleback, then picked up wins against Pasadena and Antelope Valley. This upcoming week, the Pirates will be in action to start the week against 11th ranked Cerritos at the Irvine Valley Classic beginning on Thursday.

9. San Diego Miramar (3-0): The Jets move up two spots in the rankings after posting three victories last week. Miramar picked up wins against Desert, Palomar and MiraCosta and won the Don Gehler Memorial Tournament. This week, the Jets return to action one time as Miramar will host Barstow on Wednesday for their lone game of the week.

10. Santiago Canyon (1-1): The Hawks dropped three spots in the rankings after going 1-1 in their opening week of action. Santiago Canyon lost their opener against Long Beach 89-79 and following the loss they cruised past Glendale 107-65 at the Santa Ana Tournament. This week, the Hawks will be in action twice as Santiago Canyon will take on Chaffey on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with another road game against 15th ranked MiraCosta on Friday night.

11. Cerritos (1-0): The Falcons move up one spot in the rankings after posting a win last week in non conference action. Cerritos picked up a 81-71 win over Santa Monica for their lone win of the week at home. This upcoming weekend the Falcons will take part in the Irvine Valley Classic and face 8th ranked Ventura on Thursday in 1st day action.

12. Allan Hancock (1-1): The Bulldogs drop two spots in the rankings after suffering a loss last week. Hancock lost at home against Porterville but followed that up with a 75-68 win over Hartnell to move back to .500. This upcoming week, Hancock will be in action twice as the Bulldogs will face Gavilan on Friday and then take on 2nd ranked Sequoias the next night at the Cuesta Rabobank Tournament.

13. Canyons (2-0): The Cougars move up one spot in the rankings after going 2-0 last week. Canyons won the Clash at Canyons after posting a victory over Cuyamaca and winning the championship against Oxnard. It has been a great start for the Cougars as they will be in action this week at the Irvine Valley Tournament as Canyons will face Irvine Valley in first round action on Thursday.

14. Saddleback (2-1): The Bobcats enter the rankings at number fourteen after a solid weekend of basketball. Saddleback picked up two huge wins against teams within our preseason rankings as the Bobcats beat Ventura and followed that up with a win against Los Angeles Trade Tech before slipping up against Pasadena. The Bobcats have had a solid start and will be in action this week when they will face Moorpark in 1st round action at the Alvin Hunter Classic.

15. MiraCosta (2-1): The Spartans check into our rankings for the first time this season after going 2-1 last week at the Miramar Tournament. MiraCosta crushed West Los Angeles 100-72, followed that up with a 62-59 semi final win against Southwestern before losing against Miramar in the championship game. Not a bad start at all, and this week, the Spartans will be in action on Friday at home as MiraCosta will face 10th ranked Santiago Canyon in their lone game of the week.
