In top 15 Norcal action 13th ranked San Jose (3-1) used a big second half and knocked off 5th ranked Porterville 61-54.
Sacramento, CA – Sacramento 91 Napa Valley 74
In non conference action, AJ Ferrera Jones scored 20 points and Dajon Lott added 19 points as Sacramento (2-0) won their second straight game with a 91-74 win over Napa Valley (1-3). Cameron Joseph had 21 points and Chris Thompson added 17 points in the loss for the Storm.
Gene Victor Memorial Classic – Walnut, CA
In the first game in Walnut, Gabino Ramirez scored 17 points and Julian Dixon added 11 points as Glendale (2-2) picked up a 62-50 win over Victor Valley (1-1). Blake Goodrow had 16 points in the loss for the Rams.
In other action late Thursday night, Jay Milner had 33 points and 7 assists and Nick Hopkins added 19 points and 9 rebounds as Mt. San Antonio (1-1) picked up their first victory of the season with a 105-99 win over Grossmont (0-2). Samuel Stewart IV had 18 points and 5 rebounds and Brandon Tully added 12 points in the loss for the Griffin.

In non conference action in Northern California, Jude Jennings scored 29 points and John Patague added 19 points as 15th ranked Ohlone (4-0) stayed hot with a 111-60 victory over Solano (0-3).
George Goto Classic – Rocklin, CA
In first day action at Sierra College, seven City College of San Francisco (3-0) players scored in double figures led by Matt Williams who had 18 as the Rams cruised to a 112-38 victory over Shasta (0-4).
In other action Sierra (1-1) won their first game of the year with a 78-75 double overtime win over Feather River (0-4). Terry Williams III had 18 points and Marcus Connolly added 16 points in the loss for the Golden Eagles.
American River Classic – Sacramento, CA
In first day action in Sacramento, Shelton Taylor had 22 points and Darien Guyton added 17 points as Lassen (1-3) picked up their first win of the season with a 75-66 victory over De Anza (0-3).
In other action, Nick Dore scored 14 points and Braeden Watts added 10 points as Siskiyous (2-2) beat tournament host American River 67-47. It was the third straight loss for American River to open up the season.
Irvine Valley Classic – Irvine, CA
In Southern California, Everett May scored 20 points and Jonathan Salazar added 11 points and 15 rebounds as 11th ranked Cerritos (2-0) remained unbeaten knocking off 8th ranked Ventura 72-68 on Thursday evening. Marcus Watson had 21 points and Kai Johnson added 16 points in the loss for the Pirates who fell to 2-2.
In the second game of the evening, Charlie Henderson had 22 points and 13 rebounds and Roman Swizek added 14 points as Irvine Valley (2-0) remained undefeated slipping past 13th ranked Canyons 64-63 on Thursday night. Dillon Barrientos had 28 points and 6 rebounds in the loss for Canyons (2-1) which lost for the first time this season.
