Signal The Light Basketball Southern California Week 2 Rankings (November 14-20)

1. Fullerton (3-0): The Hornets remain at the top spot going into our Socal rankings in week two. Fullerton picked up a home win against Porterville in their lone game of the week beating the Pirates 74-64. This week the Hornets will be on the court three times as Fullerton will face Cerro Coso tonight in Ridgecrest, before heading up to the Central Valley and facing top ranked San Francisco on Thursday and follow that up with another game against 2nd ranked Sequoias on Friday.

2. Citrus (3-0): The Owls remain at number two and continue to fly under the radar as they usually do. Citrus picked up a 75-55 victory over Pasadena last week in their lone game and moved to 3-0 on the season. This week, the Owls will be in action twice as Citrus will face 6th ranked Cerritos on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with another game on Saturday on the road against 4th ranked Riverside in a game between two teams within our top 5 of this weeks rankings.

3. San Diego (2-0): The Knights move up two spots despite not seeing the court after some slip ups ahead of them in the rankings. San Diego will be in action three times this week as the Knights will take on Santa Barbara on Friday, San Jose on Saturday and face Hancock on Sunday all in Santa Maria as it will be the Knights first game in 13 days.

4. Riverside (4-0): The Tigers move into the top five and move up three spots in the rankings following a win and slip up above them. Riverside picked up a 89-65 win over Los Angeles Valley to win their fourth straight to start the season. This upcoming week, Riverside will face 14th ranked Long Beach on Tuesday on the road and finish the week at home on Saturday night against 2nd ranked Citrus.

5. San Diego Miramar (4-0): The Jets jump four spots in the rankings after slip ups above them and winning their fourth straight to start the season. Miramar picked up a 84-67 win over Barstow and the Jets remained undefeated. The Jets will face Irvine Valley at home on Wednesday for their lone game of the week as Miramar will look to win their fifth straight game.

6. Cerritos (3-0): The Falcons move up five spots in the rankings after posting two victories and seeing teams slip up ahead of them. Cerritos knocked off Ventura 72-68 and followed that up with a 69-53 win over Irvine Valley for their third straight win of the season. This week, Cerritos will be in action one time as they will host 2nd ranked Citrus on Wednesday as the Falcons will look to win their fourth straight game of the season.

7. West Los Angeles (5-1): The Wildcats jump into the rankings for the first time this season and make a big splash after winning their fifth straight game. This past week, the Wildcats picked up wins against the Cal Miramar JV, followed that up with a 73-65 win over Saddleback and then picked up a 85-80 win over East Los Angeles to win the Alvin Hunter Classic this past weekend. This weekend the Wildcats are back at it as West Los Angeles will travel to the Central Valley and face West Hills Lemoore on Friday in Porterville and then face 10th ranked Porterville on Saturday night at the Milt Stowe Classic.

8. East Los Angeles (2-1): The Huskies drop four spots in the rankings after going 2-1 last week at the Alvin Hunter Classic. East Los Angeles picked up wins over Santa Monica and San Bernardino before losing to West Los Angeles 85-80 in the championship game. The Huskies have started the season winning two of three and will take on Santa Monica in their home opener on Friday for their lone game of the week.

9. Santiago Canyon (3-1): The Hawks move up one spot in the rankings after picking up a road win last week. Santiago Canyon went on the road and beat MiraCosta 95-79 in their lone game of the week winning their third straight game. This week, the Hawks will be in action twice as Santiago Canyon will host Southwestern on Wednesday and then face Copper Mountain on the road on Saturday.

10. Saddleback (4-2): The Bobcats move up four spots in the rankings after having a 2-1 week at the Alvin Hunter Classic. Saddleback beat Moorpark 83-66, suffered a loss against West Los Angeles but brought home 3rd place with a 90-84 overtime win against San Bernardino. Saddleback has started the season winning four of six and will next face Victor Valley at home on Wednesday for their lone game of the week.

11. San Bernardino (1-2): The Wolverines drop eight spots in our rankings after having a 1-2 weekend to start their season off. San Bernardino cruised to an 88-58 win over Compton but suffered a 76-75 loss against East Los Angeles and lost in the 3rd place game against Saddleback in overtime 90-84. This week the Wolverines will be off and San Bernardino returns to action on November 22nd when they host Riverside.

12. Ventura (3-2): The Pirates drop four spots in the rankings after going 1-1 last week. Ventura lost to Cerritos 72-68 and then picked up a win against Canyons picking up their third win in four games. Ventura will be on the road this week as they will take on an undefeated Los Angeles Harbor team in their lone game of the week on Wednesday.

13. Palomar (3-1): The Comets enter the rankings after starting the season off 3-1. Last week, Palomar went on the road and crushed Long Beach 113-87 and the Comets look like a team that will make some noise this season. This week, the Comets will be in action once as Palomar will host Victor Valley on Saturday.

14. Long Beach (2-2): The Vikings drop eight spots in the rankings after losing two games last week. Long Beach lost on the road against Citrus and then lost at home 113-87 against Palomar. Long Beach is at an even .500 and will be in action at home this week against 4th ranked Riverside on Tuesday in their lone game of the week.

15. Moorpark (3-2): The Raiders enter our rankings after winning the consolation championship at the Alvin Hunter Classic. Moorpark has victories this season over Santa Monica, Los Angeles Trade Tech and the Cal Miramar JV and have losses against Fullerton and Saddleback. This week the Raiders will be in action twice as Moorpark will host Bakersfield on Wednesday and follow that up with another home game against Cerro Coso on Friday.
