Six Grossmont players scored in double figures as Daevin Celaya had 14 points and Spencer Hall and Samuel Stewart IV each added 13 points as Grossmont (2-3) picked up a 99-88 win over Compton (1-5). Derrell Jones Jr had 22 points and 15 rebounds and James Baker-Dunlap added 22 points and 9 rebounds in the loss for the Tartars.

Jimuel Reyes and Nick Bowden each scored 13 points as 8th ranked Saddleback (6-2) won their third straight game with a 60-56 win over Los Angeles Trade Tech (1-6). Omari Ferguson had 17 points and Jazer Thomas added 15 points and 10 rebounds in the loss for the Beavers.
Kentfield, CA – Gavilan 74 Marin 73
Jailen Daniel-Dalton hit a three pointer with under a second left and had 28 points and Fabian Reichstadt added 13 points as Gavilan (5-2) won their second straight game with a 74-73 win on the road over Marin (2-4). Daniel Fagan had 21 points and Logan Coverson added 18 points in the loss for the Mariners.
Eureka, CA – Redwoods 81 Merced 62
In early afternoon action in Northern California, Jon Nchekwube had 22 points and Trey Neff added 21 points as Redwoods (9-1) cruised past Merced 81-62. It was the fourth straight loss for Merced (2-5) after starting the season off 2-1.
