The Cerritos Falcons have move into the 2nd spot in our week 4 Southern California rankings. Fullerton and Cerritos remain the only two teams undefeated in Southern California for this week. Moorpark fell out of the rankings and Ventura re enter the rankings after a brief departure for our rankings.

Signal The Light Basketball wee 4 Southern California Rankings (November 28- December 4)

1. Fullerton (7-0): The Hornets remain our top team in Southern California after picking up a win last week for their seventh win in a row to start the season. Fullerton cruised past Santa Monica 81-63 in their lone game of the week and continue to roll. The Hornets have posted a 5-0 record against teams that have a winning record and this week not much changes as Fullerton will face 9th ranked San Bernardino on the road on Tuesday and follow that up with a home game against 4th ranked East Los Angeles on Friday for two quality games this upcoming week.

2. Cerritos (5-0): The Falcons move up two spots in the rankings and are now number two in our Southern California rankings. Cerritos has started the season off with five straight wins following a 76-75 win over Allan Hancock last week. The Falcons are 3-0 in games decided by 5 points or less and are 2-0 against teams that have a winning record. This week, Cerritos will face Pasadena on the road later tonight and follow that up with a home game against 11th ranked Copper Mountain on Wednesday for their two games of the week.

3. Citrus (4-2): The Owls move back into the top 3 following some slip ups last week and picking up a win last week. Citrus picked up a huge 105-59 win over Los Angeles Pierce to end their two game skid. This season the Owls have a 2-2 record against teams that have a winning record and have losses against two teams inside of our top 5 (Riverside and Cerritos). This week the Owls will take on Cerro Coso at home on Friday and follow that up with a home game against 13th ranked Porterville in this weeks action.

4. East Los Angeles (3-1): The Huskies move up two spots in the rankings despite having the week off. East Los Angeles has started the season off winning three of four so far and will be back in action for the upcoming week. The Huskies have a 1-1 record against teams that have posted winning records and will be in action twice this upcoming week. East Los Angeles will face Phoenix Prep later on tonight and follow that up with a road game against top ranked Fullerton on Friday.

5. Riverside (6-1): The Tigers drop three spots in the rankings following their first loss last week. Riverside suffered a road loss against San Bernardino after winning their first six games of the season. The Tigers are 2-1 against teams that have winning records and are the second team within the Orange Empire to be ranked within the top 5 of our Socal rankings. This week Riverside will be off and the Tigers return to action on December 7th when they host 2nd ranked Cerritos.

6. San Diego Miramar (7-1): The Jets drop three spots in the rankings following a 2-1 week at the Palomar Crossover Tournament. Miramar suffered a loss against Orange Coast but followed that up with wins against Oxnard and Los Angeles Harbor. This season Miramar has put together a 2-1 record against teams that have a winning record. This week, the Jets will be in action one team as Miramar will take on Golden West on Saturday night on the road.

7. San Diego (4-1): The Knights stay put in the rankings after having the week off last week. San Diego has started the season off winning four of their first five in the 2022-2023 season. The Knights have put together a 1-0 record against teams that have a winning record this season. This week, San Diego will take on Los Angeles Trade Tech in first round action against at the Grossmont Invitational on Friday.

8. Saddleback (6-2): The Bobcats remain put in our rankings following a win last week. Saddleback got past Los Angeles Trade Tech 60-56 last week in their lone game of the week. The Bobcats have started off winning six of eight and have posted a 3-2 record against teams that have a winning record and have played solid basketball to start the season. This week the Bobcats will be off and Saddleback will return to action on December 7th when they face 15th ranked Mt. San Jacinto.

9. San Bernardino (2-2): The Wolverines stay put as well after putting together an impressive win last week. San Bernardino picked up a home win over Riverside and ended a two game skid. The Wolverines are 1-2 against teams that have a winning record and San Bernardino is a team that will continue to improve as the season moves forward. This week, the Wolverines will be in action one time as they will face top ranked Fullerton at home on Tuesday night for their lone game of the week.

10. West Los Angeles (5-3): The Wildcats move up a spot in the rankings despite not having a game last week. West Los Angeles has started off the season winning five of eight games and will host the Wild West Shootout this week. The Wildcats have put together a 3-2 record against teams that have a winning record so far this season. This week, the Wildcats will face Rio Hondo in first round action of their own tournament starting on Thursday.

11. Copper Mountain (5-2): The Fighting Cacti move up one spot in the rankings after having the week off. Copper Mountain has started the season off winning five of their first seven games. The Fighting Cacti have a 1-1 record against teams that have a winning record and have lost games against West Los Angeles and Southwestern this season. This upcoming week, Copper Mountain will face 2nd ranked Cerritos on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with a game against Palomar on Friday in 1st round action at the Grossmont Invitational.

12. Santiago Canyon (5-2): The Hawks move up one spot in the rankings following a win last week. Santiago Canyon picked up a 89-70 win over Mt. San Antonio for their fifth win in seven outings. This season the Hawks have put together a 2-1 record against teams that have a winning record. This week, Santiago Canyon will face Los Angeles Southwest on Friday and follow that up against Santa Monica on Saturday.

13. Los Angeles Harbor (7-1): The Seahawks move up two spots in the rankings after going 2-1 last week. Los Angels Harbor has started off the season winning seven of their first eight games and picked up victories over Imperial Valley and Palomar last week but fell in a close game against San Diego Miramar. This season, the Seahawks are 4-1 against teams that have posted a winning record in the 2022-2023 season. The Seahawks will be off this week and return to action on December 7th when they go on the road and face Santiago Canyon.

14. Palomar (6-2): The Comets drop four spots in the rankings after going 2-1 last week. Palomar has started the season winning six of eight and picked up wins against Oxnard and Orange Coast but lost to Los Angeles Harbor at home last week. Palomar has posted a 2-2 record against teams that have a winning record. This week the Comets will face 11th ranked Copper Mountain in 1st round action at the Grossmont Invitational on Friday.

15. Ventura (4-3): The Pirates jump back into the rankings after picking up a win last week. Ventura picked up a 79-74 win over Porterville last week in their lone game of the week. This season, the Pirates have posted a 2-3 record against teams that have a winning record. Ventura has suffered losses against Saddleback, Cerritos and Los Angeles Harbor and will look to find consistency as they will face Los Angeles Southwest at home tonight and follow that up with a game against Compton in 1st round action at the Gregg Anderson Memorial Tournament hosted by Antelope Valley on Friday.
