Yuba holds on to the top spot in our week 4 Norcal rankings and Cabrillo and Chabot drop out of our rankings for this week. Redwoods and San Jose both re enter the rankings after falling out for a week. Three teams remained undefeated in Northern California (San Mateo, Yuba and West Valley) and all three are in our top five this week.

Signal The Light Basketball week 4 Northern California Rankings (November 28- December 4)

1. Yuba (3-0): The 49ers hold on to the number one spot for another week after posting a win last week. Yuba picked up a 82-57 win over Lassen to win their third straight game to start their season. Yuba has not faced a team with a winning record this season and will look to stay undefeated this week as the 49ers will be in action four times this week. Yuba will face Feather River at home tomorrow night, and then will travel to El Cajon and play at the Grossmont Invitational where the 49ers will take on Palo Verde in 1st round action on Friday.

2. San Francisco (5-1): The Rams remain at the number two in this weeks rankings following a week off. San Francisco has started the season winning five of six games with their only loss coming against Fullerton. San Francisco has put together a 1-1 record against teams that have a winning record this season and will be back in action this week. San Francisco will face 6th ranked Sequoias at home on Friday and follow that up with a game against North Idaho on Saturday at the Golden Gate Classic this weekend.

3. West Valley (8-0): The Vikings stay put at number three after picking up a win last week. West Valley has started the season off winning their first eight games and crushed San Joaquin Delta 77-53 in their game last week. The Vikings are 3-0 against teams that have a winning record and West Valley will be back in action this week. West Valley will host 7th ranked Contra Costa on Thursday and follow that up with a road game against Canada on Saturday.

4. Columbia (7-1): The ClaimJumpers remain put in the rankings after putting together three wins last week. Columbia picked up wins against American River, Lassen and Folsom Lake and have now won seven of their first eight to start the season. Columbia are 2-1 against teams that have a winning record this season and will look to win their sixth straight this upcoming weekend. The ClaimJumpers will face Merritt in 1st round action at the Saltwater Classic hosted by Cabrillo College on Friday.

5. San Mateo (7-0): The Bulldogs stay put in our top five after posting a victory last week. San Mateo is one of three teams left in Northern California that is undefeated after winning their first seven to start the season. San Mateo has posted a 2-0 record against teams that have a winning record and have won close games all season. This week, the Bulldogs are back in action as they will face Folsom Lake in 1st round action at the Saltwater Classic hosted by Cabrillo on Friday.

6. Sequoias (5-2): The Giants stay put in the rankings after picking up a win last week. Sequoias went on the road and slipped past Hartnell 82-78 in a close game. The Giants have started off winning five of seven and are 0-2 against teams that have a winning record this season. Sequoias has two losses against Fullerton and Los Angeles Southwest and will be back in action this week. The Giants will take on 2nd ranked San Francisco on Friday and follow that up with a game against San Joaquin Delta the next night at the Golden Gate Classic.

7. Contra Costa (4-2): The Comets move up one spot in the rankings despite having the week off. Contra Costa has put together a 3-2 record against teams that have a winning record and the Comets have suffered losses against Columbia and San Mateo (two teams within our top 5). This week, the Comets will face another top 5 team as Contra Costa will travel to Saratoga and face 3rd ranked West Valley on Thursday.

8. Ohlone (6-0): The Renegades move up three spots in the rankings after posting a win last week. Ohlone needed overtime but won their sixth straight game with a 86-74 win over De Anza. The Renegades are one of three teams still undefeated in Northern California and have not faced a team that has a winning record this season. This week, the Renegades will face Merritt tomorrow night at home and follow that up with a road game against Marin on Saturday for their two games of the week.

9. Las Positas (5-2): The Hawks drop two spots in the rankings following a loss last week. Las Positas went on the road and lost against San Jose dropping their second game of the season. The Hawks have put together a 2-1 record against teams that have a winning record this season. This week, Las Positas will face Reedley on Thursday, Feather River on Friday and Siskiyous on Saturday at the James Clark Classic hosted by Cosumnes River.

10. Fresno (5-1): The Rams move up three spots in the rankings despite having the week off due to other losses ahead of them. Fresno is 0-1 against teams that have put together a winning record as the Rams have one loss and it was against West Valley this season. Fresno will have the week off again and will return to action on December 8th when they will face Lassen at the Modesto Tournament.

11. Los Medanos (4-2): The Mustangs move up three spots in the rankings despite having the week off as well due to losses ahead of them. Los Medanos has started the season winning five of six and have put together a 3-2 record against teams that have a winning record this season. This week the Mustangs will be in action twice as Los Medanos will face 15th ranked San Jose at home tomorrow and follow that up with a road game against Modesto on Thursday.

12. West Hills Lemoore (5-2): The Golden Eagles move up three spots in the rankings despite having the week off. Lemoore has put together a 1-1 record against teams that have posted a winning record and the Golden Eagles have won five of their first seven to start the season. This week, the Golden Eagles will be in action on the road against Allan Hancock on Saturday for their lone game of the week.

13. Porterville (4-3): The Pirates drop four spots in the rankings following a 1-1 week. Porterville picked up a win against Moorpark but suffered a loss against Ventura but the Pirates have won three of their last four games. Porterville has a 2-3 against teams that have a winning record and have losses against Fullerton, San Jose and Ventura this season. This upcoming week, the Pirates will face Cerro Coso at home on Tuesday and then will face Santa Monica on Friday and follow that up against 3rd ranked Citrus on Saturday on the road.

14. Redwoods (10-1): The Corsairs come back into the rankings at number fourteen following two wins last week. Redwoods is the first time in the state to win 10 games following their home wins against Merced and Marin. This season the Corsairs are 0-1 against teams that have a winning record but have won ten of their first eleven games. This week, Redwoods will face off against Sierra on Thursday and follow that up against Mendocino the next night at the Tregs Tournament.

15. San Jose (6-3): The Jaguars come back into the rankings following a win last week. San Jose picked up an overtime win against Las Positas as the Jaguars have won three of their last four games. San Jose has a 2-2 record against teams that have a winning record this season. This upcoming week, the Jaguars will face 11th ranked Los Medanos on the road on Tuesday night for their lone game of the week.
