Rams, Giants and 49ers remain top 3 in week 11

1. San Francisco (18-2): The Rams continue to be the top team in Northern California as San Francisco is rolling through the Coast North Conference. San Francisco has won 12 games in a row since losing to Fullerton and are undefeated in conference play. This season the Rams have put together a 8-2 record against teams that have a winning record with their best win coming against Sequoias. This week, the Rams will face Foothill at home on Wednesday and follow that up with another home game on Friday against 9th ranked Las Positas.

2. Sequoias (17-3): The Giants remain at number two in the rankings after picking up two wins last week. Sequoias knocked off Fresno and are now in sole possession of first place in the Central Valley Conference after winning their 12th straight game. Sequoias has put together a 6-3 record against teams that have a winning record with their best victory coming against Fresno. This week, the Giants will be in action twice as Sequoias will face Reedley on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with another road game against 8th ranked Columbia on Saturday.

3. Yuba (18-2): The 49ers continue to roll and stay put at number three in our rankings. Yuba picked up wins against Napa and Alameda last week and knocked off Los Medanos earlier this week to win their 13th straight game and remain unbeaten in Bay Valley Conference action. The 49ers have not lost since December 8th and have put together a 5-2 record against teams with winning records with their best victory coming against Redwoods. This week the 49ers will take on Marin tonight and follow that up with a road game against Mendocino on Friday night to end their week.

4. West Valley (19-3): The Vikings move up one spot in our rankings following wins against De Anza and Cabrillo and have won four straight since losing to San Jose. West Valley is currently a 1/2 game ahead of San Jose in the Coast South standings. This season the Vikings have a 6-3 record against teams that have a winning record with their best victory coming against Fresno on November 11th. This week, West Valley will face 5th ranked San Jose on Friday night at home for their lone game of the week in Coast South Conference action.

5. San Jose (17-4): The Jaguars move down a spot after suffering a loss after winning 12 straight games. San Jose picked up a huge road win over Gavilan after losing to Monterey on the road last week. The Jags may have the best resume in Northern California as they have put together a 11-1 record against teams that have a winning record which is why they are in the running for a very high seed in the post season with their best win coming against West Valley. This week, the Jags will face Hartnell at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a huge game on the road against 4th ranked West Valley on Friday night.

6. Los Medanos (15-5): The Mustangs come in at number six at the beginning of this week and move up three spots. Los Medanos picked up victories against Solano and cruised past Contra Costa on the road before losing on the road to Yuba on Monday after our rankings had been put together. This season the Mustangs are 4-6 against teams that have a winning record with their best win coming against Redwoods. This week, Los Medanos will face Napa Valley on Friday at home in their other game of the week in Bay Valley Conference action.

7. Fresno (15-3): The Rams stay put in the rankings at number seven following a loss last week. Fresno lost to Sequoias ending their five game winning streak and are currently in 2nd place in the Central Valley Conference. This season the Rams are 1-3 against teams that have a winning record with their best win coming against Sacramento. This week, Fresno will face 8th ranked Columbia on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with another road game against Merced on Saturday in Central Valley Conference play.

8. Columbia (15-4): The Claim Jumpers drop two spots in our rankings after going 1-1 last week. Columbia picked up a win against West Hills Lemoore but suffered a set back against Porterville on the road. Columbia is 4-1 in their last five games and have put together a 3-3 record against teams that have posted a winning record this season with their best win coming against Contra Costa on November 4th. This week, the Claim Jumpers will face 7th ranked Fresno at home on Wednesday and follow that up with another key conference game at home against 2nd ranked Sequoias on Saturday night.

9. Las Positas (14-6): The Hawks move up three spots in our rankings following two wins last week. Las Positas picked up wins against Skyline and Foothill and have now won four of their last five games. This season the Hawks are 4-5 against teams that have winning records with their best win coming against Columbia on November 5th. This week the Hawks will face Ohlone at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against top ranked San Francisco on Friday night.

10. Cosumnes River (14-8): The Hawks continue to play solid basketball and move up three spots in our week 11 rankings. Cosumnes River picked up a win against American River and have now won six straight and eight of their last nine to put them on top of the Big 8 Conference. This season the Hawks are 5-3 against teams that have put together a winning record with their best win coming against Gavilan. This week, the Hawks will face Sierra on the road on Friday after picking up a home win against Modesto on Monday after our rankings were already made.

11. Redwoods (19-3): The Corsairs drop three spots in the rankings following a loss last week in Golden Valley Conference action. Redwoods beat Lassen but had a setback against Feather River but are 4-1 in their last five games. Redwoods has a 3-2 record against teams that have a winning record with their best win coming against Contra Costa. This week, the Corsairs will be in action twice as Redwoods will host Sikiyous on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game on Saturday against Shasta.

12. Chabot (12-8): The Gladiators move up two spots in the rankings following two more wins last week in conference action. Chabot picked up wins over Canada and San Mateo and have now won five games in a row and are in 2nd place in the Coast North Conference. This season, Chabot has a 4-4 record against teams that have a winning record with their best win coming against Las Positas on January 13th. This week, Chabot will face Skyline at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against Foothill on Friday night in Coast North Conference action.

13. Contra Costa (14-7): The Comets drop three spots in our rankings following a loss last week. Contra Costa lost to Los Medanos at home and the Comets have dropped two of their last three games to ranked opponents. This season, the Comets have a 6-6 record against teams that have a winning record with their best win coming against Columbia on December 30th. This week, the Comets will face Napa Valley on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against Alameda on Friday night in Bay Valley Conference action.

14. Gavilan (14-7): The Rams drop three spots in our rankings following two losses last week. Gavilan dropped home games against San Jose and West Valley in Coast South Conference action. The Rams have had a solid year and have posted a 4-5 record against teams that have a winning record with their best win coming against Allan Hancock. This week the Rams are off but will return to action on January 30th when Gavilan travels to Monterey.

15. Sacramento (13-9): The Panthers come into the rankings as our number 15 team this week. Sacramento has won five straight games and have put themselves in a better positon in a complicated Big 8 race. This season the Panthers are 1-6 against teams that have a winning record with their best win coming against Diablo Valley. This week, Sacramento has won their game for the week as the Panthers went on the road and knocked off Santa Rosa. Sacramento will return to action on January 31st when the Panthers host American River in Big 8 Conference action.
