Rams and Giants continue to roll in week 12

1. San Francisco (20-2): The Rams continue to roll and remain the top ranked team in our Northern California rankings. San Francisco picked up wins at home against Foothill and Las Positas and have now won 14 straight games and are closing in on a top seed for the post season. This season the Rams are 10-2 against teams that have a winning record with their best win coming against Sequoias on December 2nd. This week, the Rams will take on 11th ranked Chabot on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against Skyline in Coast North Conference action.

2. Sequoias (19-3): The Giants remain put at number two following another two wins last week in Central Valley Conference action. Sequoias cruised past Reedley and Columbia on the road and are winners of 14 straight since losing to San Francisco on December 2nd. This season the Giants have put together a 7-3 record against teams that have a winning record with their best win coming against Columbia. This upcoming week, the Giants will look to close in on a Central Valley Conference championship as Sequoias will face Merced on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game on Saturday night against West Hills Lemoore.

3. Yuba (21-2): The 49ers continue to put together wins and fly under the radar at number three in our week 12 rankings. Yuba picked up wins over Los Medanos, Marin and Mendocino and have won fourteen straight games since losing to San Jose on December 8th. This season the 49ers have a 5-2 record against teams that have a winning record with their best win coming against Los Medanos in conference action. This week, the 49ers will face off against Merritt at home on Wednesday for their lone game of the week.

4. San Jose (19-4): The Jags move up one spot from last weeks rankings and continue to rise through our rankings. San Jose picked up wins over Hartnell and West Valley and have sole possession of first place in the Coast South Conference. The Jags have put together an impressive non conference resume and have a 12-1 record against teams with a winning record with their best victory coming against Yuba this season. This week, the Jags will be in action one time as San Jose will face De Anza at home on Friday for their lone game of the week.

5. West Valley (19-4): The Vikings drop one spot in the rankings after going 1-1 last week in Coast South Conference action. West Valley picked up a win at Cabrillo but suffered a loss against San Jose for the second time this season. The Vikings remain in our top five as they have won four of their last five and have a 5-4 record against teams that have a winning record with their best victory coming against Fresno. This week, the Vikings will be in action twice as West Valley will face Hartnell on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with another road game against Monterey on Friday evening.

6. Cosumnes River (15-8): The Hawks move up four spots in the rankings as Cosumnes River picked up two wins last week. The Hawks picked up wins against Modesto and Sierra and have won seven straight games in Big 8 Conference action. This season Cosumnes River has a 5-4 record against teams that have a winning record with their best win coming against Gavilan. This week the Hawks will be in action twice as Cosumnes River will face Santa Rosa at home on Tuesday night and follow that up with another home game against Folsom Lake on Friday.

7. Los Medanos (16-6): The Mustangs drop one spot in the rankings after going 1-1 last week in Bay Valley Conference action. Los Medanos picked up a win against Napa Valley but suffered a set back against a solid Yuba squad. The Mustangs are a solid group and have put together a 4-6 record against teams that have a winning record with their best victory coming against Redwoods. This week, the Mustangs will face Alameda on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against Marin on Friday.

8. Redwoods (21-3): The Corsairs move up three spots in the rankings after picking up two wins last week. Redwoods picked up wins against Siskiyous and Shasta and have won six of their last seven games and are leading the Golden Valley Conference. This season the Corsairs have a 5-2 record against teams that have a winning record with their best victory coming against Pasadena. This upcoming week, Redwoods will face Lassen on Saturday for their lone game of the week as the Corsairs will be at home.

9. Columbia (19-5): The Claim Jumpers drop one spot in our rankings following a 1-1 week in Central Valley Conference action. Columbia picked up a huge win over Fresno but had a setback losing to Sequoias at home. The Claim Jumpers have been solid all season and have a 5-4 record against teams that have a winning record with their best victory coming against Fresno. This upcoming week, the Claim Jumpers will take on West Hills Coalinga on Wednesday on the road and follow that up with another road game against Reedley on Saturday evening.

10. Fresno (16-4): The Rams drop three spots in the rankings after going 1-1 last week in Central Valley Conference action. Fresno picked up a 97-77 victory over Merced but suffered a loss against Columiba and have lost two of their last three games. The Rams have a 1-4 record against teams that have posted a winning record with their best win coming against Sacramento. This week, the Rams will face Porterville at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against West Hills Coalinga on Saturday in conference action.

11. Chabot (14-8): The Gladiators move up one spot in the rankings following two more wins in Coast North Conference action. Chabot picked up wins against Skyline and Foothill and have won seven straight games and are 7-1 in conference action. This season the Gladiators have put together a 3-4 record against teams that have a winning record with their best win coming against Ohlone. This week is a big week for Chabot as the Gladiators will host top ranked San Francisco on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against 15th ranked Ohlone on Friday night.

12. Contra Costa (16-7): The Comets move up one spot in our rankings after picking up two wins last week. Contra Costa picked up wins against Napa Valley and Alameda and have won three of their last four games. This season the Comets have posted a 5-6 record against teams that have a winning record with their best win coming against Cosumnes River. This week, the Comets will be in action twice as Contra Costa will face Marin on Wednesday on the road and follow that up with another road game against Mendocino on Friday evening.

13. Las Positas (14-8): The Hawks drop four spots in our rankings after going 0-2 last week in Coast North Conference action. Las Positas lost at home against Ohlone and followed that up with another loss against San Francisco and are 2-3 in their last five games in conference. This season, Las Positas has put together a 3-7 record against teams that have a winning record with their best win coming against Los Medanos. This week, the Hawks will face Canada at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against San Mateo on Friday evening.

14. Gavilan (14-7): The Rams stay put in the rankings after not having a game last week. Gavilan has lost two straight games and have put together a 3-5 record against teams that have posted a winning record this season with their best victory coming against Ohlone. This week, the Rams will be back in action as Gavilan will face Monterey tonight on the road, follow that up with another road game on Wednesday against De Anza and end their week on the road against Cabrillo in Coast South Conference actionn.

15. Sacramento (13-9): The Panthers remain at number 15 in our rankings after winning their lone game last week. Sacramento went on the road and picked up a 70-66 win over Santa Rosa and have now won five straight games and six of their last seven. This season the Panthers have a 1-6 record against teams that have a winning record with their best win coming against Diablo Valley. This week, the Panthers will face American River at home on Tuesday and follow that up with a road game on Friday against Sierra in Big 8 Conference action.
