1. San Diego (3-1): The Knights have started the season off winning three of four games including victories over Chabot and Santa Monica which was ranked in our preseason poll. San Diego did take a loss against West Valley 77-70 but still remain our top team in Southern California moving into our week two rankings. This weeks the Knights are in action three times as San Diego will face Santa Barbara on Friday, face 6th ranked San Jose on Saturday and finish the weekend against 5th ranked Allan Hancock.

2. Fullerton (3-1): The Hornets remain at number two following a 3-1 start into the season. Fullerton has wins against MiraCosta, Porterville and a tough Chabot team in which the Hornets came from behind late in the 2nd half. Fullerton suffered a 82-81 loss against West Valley and are off to a hot start despite having health issues to start the season. Fullerton will be in action twice this week as the Hornets will take on Santa Monica on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against a very tough and 14th ranked Moorpark team on Saturday.

3. Mt. San Jacinto (4-0): The Eagles are off to a hot start in the season as Mt. San Jacinto has won four in a row. Mt. San Jacinto is putting up a lot of points and have registered 90 plus points in all four wins. The Eagles have wins against Palomar, Golden West, Cuyamaca and a very good West Hills Lemoore team which is ranked in Northern California. This week, the third ranked Eagles are in action twice as Mt. San Jacinto will face San Diego Mesa tonight, and follow that up with another game against Los Angeles Harbor on Saturday.

4. Allan Hancock (2-1): The Bulldogs drop one spot in our rankings following a 2-1 start to the regular season. Hancock has wins over Hartnell and Gavilan but had a setback against a very good Sequoias team. The Bulldogs will have three game this upcoming week and will be tested as Hancock will take on 6th ranked San Jose, follow that up against Santa Barbara and end their week against top ranked San Diego as the Bulldogs will look to have a good weekend.

5. Cerro Coso (4-0): The Coyotes make a huge jump into our top 5 in our week two rankings as the Ridgecrest school has won four straight to start the season. Cerro Coso has played solid basketball to start the season and have wins against Los Angeles Pierce, Moorpark, Los Angeles Southwest and Santa Barbara. Cerro Coso has won by double digits in three of those four games and will be in action one time this upcoming week. The Coyotes will face San Diego Mesa on Friday in their lone game of the week.

6. Santiago Canyon (4-0): The Hawks enter our rankings and make a splash after winning four straight to start the season. Santiago Canyon has knocked off Glendale, Long Beach, Chaffey and Mira Costa and their closest game has been a 8 point win against Chaffey. Santiago Canyon is off to a hot start and the Hawks will be in action three times this week. The Hawks will face Southwestern tonight, then Antelope Valley on Thursday and end their week of play against Los Angeles Pierce on Friday.

7. Citrus (2-1): The Owls drop a spot in our rankings following a 2-1 start to the season. Citrus started off the season with a home loss against Mt. San Antonio but followed that up with wins against MiraCosta and a very good Pasadena team. Citrus which made the Final Four a year ago looks like they will be a team that will be fairly competitive again this upcoming season. Citrus will be in action twice this week as the Owls will host Orange Coast tonight and follow that up with another game against Cerritos on Friday night.

8. West Los Angeles (2-1): The Wildcats move up two spots in our rankings and start this week at number eight in our week two rankings. West Los Angeles started their season last weekend at the San Bernardino Tournament and picked up wins against Saddleback and San Bernardino but had a setback against Moorpark. West Los Angeles has won two of three to start the season and will next face Oxnard on Thursday for their lone game of the week.

9. Mt. San Antonio (3-0): The Mounties are another new team to our rankings and Mt. San Antonio has started the season off very hot winning three straight. The Mounties opened up the season with a huge road win over Citrus 65-60 and have followed that up with two blow out wins against Glendale and Victor Valley. Mt. San Antonio will be in action twice this week as the Mounties will take on Los Angeles Pierce on Thursday and follow that up the next night with a game against Antelope Valley.

10. Saddleback (5-1): The Bobcats are another new team entering our rankings after starting the season winners of five of six. Saddleback has got off to a hot start as the Bobcats have victories over Antelope Valley, Ventura, San Bernardino, East Los Angeles and Compton. The lone set back for the Bobcats has been against West Los Angeles to start the season. Saddleback will be off for the next couple of weeks before they are back in action on December 1st where the Bobcats will face top ranked San Diego.

11. East Los Angeles (1-2): The Huskies have started the season off different than most seasons as the East Los Angeles has lost two of three to start the season and drop six spots in our rankings. East Los Angeles lost their first two games of the season against Moorpark and Saddleback but did pick up a win against Santa Monica at the San Bernardino tournament. The Huskies lost both games by double figures and will have one game this week before a big break heading into December. East Los Angeles will take on Porterville on Friday for their lone game of the week.

12. Pasadena (1-2): The Lancers drop three spots since our preseason poll after losing two of their first three games to start the season. Pasadena dropped their opener against Santa Moinca and followed that up with a win against Orange Coast but the Lancers were blown out by Citrus last week. Pasadena will look to get back on the winning side as the Lancers are in action twice as they will face 7th ranked Chabot and follow that up with a game against Cypress.

13. Irvine Valley (2-0): The Lasers come into our rankings after starting the season with wins against two previously ranked opponents. Irvine Valley started the season with a win against Ventura and followed that up with a 68-66 win over Cerritos. Irvine Valley is a much improved team from a year ago and looks like they will be seeing the win column frequently this season. This week, the Lasers are in action twice as Irvine Valley will face San Diego Miramar tomorrow and follow that up with MiraCosta on Friday to end their week.

14. Moorpark (3-2): The Raiders enter our rankings at number fourteen after starting the season off 3-2. Moorpark has wins against Porterville, East Los Angeles and West Los Angeles and their two losses have come against teams that are ranked within our Signal The Light Basketball rankings. Moorpark has lost against Cerro Coso and San Francisco and look to be a team that will be in playoff contention. This week, the Raiders will be in action twice as Moorpark will face Bakersfield on Thursday and follow that up with a game against 2nd ranked Fullerton on Saturday.

15. San Bernardino (3-3): The Wolverines still stay in our rankings despite the slow start of going 3-3. San Bernardino has wins against San Diego Miramar, Antelope Valley and Compton but all of their losses have come against ranked opponents. The Wolverines have losses against Saddleback, San Francisco and West Los Angeles and are off to a slow start. San Bernardino will have this week off and get back to action on November 22nd when the Wolverines will face Santa Monica.
