1. West Valley (18-0): The Vikings remain at our top spot in Northern California after posting two wins last week in conference action. West Valley picked up a huge road win over San Jose and followed that up with a 86-49 blowout over Hartnell as the Vikings have the longest winning streak in the state and remain the only undefeated team in the state. This season the Vikings are 9-0 against teams that have a winning record and West Valley has victories over Fullerton, San Diego, Las Positas, Chabot, San Francisco twice and San Jose and have the best resume in the state. This week the Vikings will have another test as West Valley will host 2nd ranked Cabrillo on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against a very good Monterey team on Friday night.

2. Cabrillo (17-1): The Seahawks remain at number two in Northern California following two wins last week in conference play. Cabrillo picked up a win over Hartnell on the road and followed that up with a huge home win against San Jose and have opened up conference with a 2-0 record and the Seahawks have won five straight since losing to Ohlone. This season, the Seahawks have a 5-1 record against teams that have a winning record and have a huge win over Columbia, San Jose and Merced this season. This week is a big week for Cabrillo as the Seahawks will face top ranked West Valley on the road on Wednesday for their lone game of the week.

3. Chabot (14-4): The Gladiators move up one spot in our week nine rankings following two wins in Coast North Conference action. Chabot picked up a 73-66 road win over Canada and followed that up with a huge home win against San Francisco 79-77 as the Gladiators have opened up conference with a 2-0 record. This season the Gladiators have a 5-4 record against teams that have a winning record as Chabot has victories over Monterey and San Francisco this season. This upcoming week, the Gladiators will face San Mateo at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against a very dangerous and 14th ranked Skyline team.

4. Yuba (14-2): The 49ers move up two spots in our rankings and into the top five after posting two wins last week. Yuba picked up wins over Merritt and Mendocino and the 49ers remain unbeaten in conference action and have an eight game winning streak. This season the 49ers are 4-1 against teams that have a winning record with their best victories coming against San Francisco, Moorpark and conference leading Redwoods. This week, Yuba will be in action twice as the 49ers will host 12th ranked Los Medanos on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against Contra Costa on Friday.

5. Sacramento (15-1): The Panthers move up two spots and into our top five for the first time this season. Sacramento picked up a road win at Sierra and followed that up with a home win against conference rival Consumnes River for their fifth straight win since losing to Fresno on December 8th. Sacramento has opened up conference play with five straight wins and are 6-1 against teams that are ranked this season. The Panthers have victories over Redwoods, Los Medanos, Ohlone, Santa Rosa and Cosumnes River this season. This week, the Panthers will be road warriors and face San Joaquin Delta in Stockton on Tuesday and finish their week off with another road game against Folsom Lake on Friday evening.

6. Columbia (14-2): The Claim Jumpers move up three spots in our rankings after a big week in conference play. Columbia opened up conference play with a big 83-80 home win over Sequoias and followed that up with a 74-72 road win over West Hills Coalinga. The Claim Jumpers have a three game winning streak and have put together a 3-1 record against teams that have a winning record with their best win coming against Sequoias. This week, Columbia will travel to Reedley on Wednesday and end their week with a home game against 9th ranked Merced on Saturday night.

7. San Francisco (13-5): The Rams drop two spots in our week 9 Northern California rankings after going 1-1 last week in Coast North Conference action. San Francisco slipped past San Mateo 80-75 at home and followed that up with a road loss against Chabot as the Rams are 1-2 in their last three games. This season the Rams are 6-5 against teams that have a winning record and San Francisco has victories over Santa Rosa, Moorpark, Sequoias twice and have a victory over San Jose. This week, the Rams will be in action one time as San Francisco will face 13th ranked Ohlone on the road in Fremont on Friday night.

8. West Hills Lemoore (12-3): The Golden Eagles move up five spots in our week 9 rankings after picking up two conference wins last week. West Hills Lemoore edged Porterville 74-72 and followed that up with a huge win over Reedley and the Golden Eagles have won four straight games and have won six of their last seven games. This season the Golden Eagles are 2-3 against teams that have a winning record and Lemoore has a huge win over Citrus and Ohlone. This week, Lemoore will be tested as they will travel to Visalia and face 10th ranked Sequoias on Wednesday and end their week with another road game against West Hills Coalinga on Saturday.

9. Merced (13-3): The Blue Devils move up a spot despite going 1-1 to start conference action. Merced opened up conference play with a home loss against Fresno but followed that up with a huge home win over Sequoias in Central Valley Conference action. This season the Blue Devils are 4-2 against teams that have a winning record and the Blue Devils have victories over Skyline and Sequoias. This week, the Blue Devils will face Porterville on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game in Sonora against 6th ranked Columbia.

10. Sequoias (12-4) The Giants drop seven spots in our rankings following a two loss week to open up Central Valley Conference action. Sequoias suffered losses at Columbia and Merced and had their eight game winning streak snapped. This season the Giants have put together a 3-4 record against teams that have a winning record and Sequoias has wins against San Jose and Allan Hancock. This week, the Giants will look to get back on track as Sequoias will host 8th ranked West Hills Lemoore and follow that up with a road game against Porterville on Saturday.

11. San Jose (13-5): The Jags move down four spots in our rankings following two losses in conference action. San Jose had a tough week as the Jags suffered losses against West Valley and Cabrillo. The Jags have started off conference play with an 0-2 record and lost three of their last four games but have put together a 7-5 record against teams that have winning records. San Jose has victories over Chabot, Ohlone, Los Medanos and San Diego this season. This upcoming week, the Jags will look to get back on track as San Jose will host Monterey on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against Gavilan on Friday evening.

12. Los Medanos (11-6): The Mustangs move up two spots in our rankings following two wins last week in Bay Valley Conference action. Los Medanos knocked off Solano and Marin for their fourth straight win and the Mustangs have won five of their last six games. This season the Mustangs are 0-5 against teams that have a winning record but this week Los Medanos will get a chance to get a victory against a team with a winning record. The Mustangs will face 4th ranked Yuba on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against Alameda on Friday.

13. Ohlone (11-6): The Renegades move up two spots in our rankings after picking up a conference opening win. Ohlone picked up a 70-69 victory over Skyline for their third straight win and are in 2nd place in Coast North Conference action at the moment. This season the Renegades have a 3-5 record against teams that have a winning record and Ohlone has posted victories against Cabrillo, Skyline and Cosumnes River. This week, the Renegades will face 15th ranked Las Positas on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against 7th ranked San Francisco on Friday evening.

14. Skyline (14-4): The Trojans drop two spots in our rankings after going 1-1 last week in Coast North Conference play. Skyline picked up a close home win over Las Positas 76-74 but had a setback against Ohlone 70-69. This season the Trojans have a 5-4 record against teams that have a winning record and Skyline has wins against Las Positas and West Hills Lemoore. The Trojans are 4-2 in games decided by five points or less this season and this week Skyline will take on Canada on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against 3rd ranked Chabot on Friday to end their week.

15. Las Positas (13-4): The Hawks drop four spots in our rankings following a loss last week in Coast North Conference action. Las Positas suffered a loss against Skyline ending the Hawks four game winning streak. This season the Hawks have a 1-2 record against teams that have a winning record with that one win coming against Cosumnes River. This week, the Hawks will face 13th ranked Ohlone at home on Wednesday and end their week with another home game against Canada on Friday night.
