Wildcats remain at top spot for 3rd straight week

1. West Los Angeles (14-2): The Wildcats remain at our top spot in Southern California for the 3rd straight week after posting two conference wins. West Los Angeles picked up wins over Antelope Valley and Glendale and have now won eleven straight games. This season the Wildcats have put together a 5-2 record against teams that have a winning record with wins over San Diego, and Los Angeles Southwest. This week, the Wildcats will continue conference action as West Los Angeles will face Bakersfield on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against Santa Monica on Saturday.

2. San Diego (14-3): The Knights remain put at number two in our rankings following a win in conference play last week. San Diego picked up a 94-72 home win over Imperial Valley and have now won five straight games since losing against top ranked West Los Angeles on December 9th. This season, San Diego has a 6-3 record against teams that have posted a winning record as the Knights have victories over Chabot, Hancock, Yuba, and Fullerton. This upcoming week, the Knights will have two games as they will face a hot San Diego Miramar team on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against Palomar on Friday night.

3. Mt. San Jacinto (16-1): The Eagles remain at number three in the rankings following a win last week in Inland Empire Conference action. Mt. San Jacinto picked up a 88-66 road win over Copper Mountain and have now won four straight games since dropping a road game against Cerro Coso. This season the Eagles have put together a 5-1 record against teams that have a winning record including wins over East Los Angeles and San Bernardino. This week, Mt. San Jacinto will be in action twice, as the Eagles will face Desert at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against 8th ranked Chaffey on Saturday.

4. Fullerton (15-3): The Hornets remain in our top five and stay put at number four in our rankings following two wins in conference action. Fullerton picked up blow out wins against Orange Coast and Irvine Valley and have won eight straight games since losing to San Diego on December 8th. The Hornets have a 9-3 record against teams that have a winning record and have wins over MiraCosta, Chabot, West Los Angeles, Santiago Canyon, and East Los Angeles. Fullerton will be in action twice this upcoming week in conference play as the Hornets will face Saddleback at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against Riverside on Friday night.

5. Mt. San Antonio (15-1): The Mounties round off our top five as the Mounties picked up two more wins last week. Mt. San Antonio picked up wins over Long Beach and Cerritos and the Mounties have won eight straight games and have been one of the hottest teams all season. The Mounties have picked up wins against Citrus, Santiago Canyon and Irvine Valley which all have winning records and have a 4-1 record against teams that have put together a winning record. This upcoming week, the Mounties will be in action twice as Mt. San Antonio will face El Camino on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against 13th ranked Los Angeles Southwest.

6. Allan Hancock (13-4): The Bulldogs continue to move up our rankings as Allan Hancock moved up one spot after putting together one win last week. Allan Hancock picked up a conference win over Oxnard and the Bulldogs have won nine straight wins since losing to West Hills Coalinga. This season the Bulldogs have a 7-2 record against teams that have winning records and Hancock has wins against San Jose, West Hills Lemoore, Ohlone, Citrus, MiraCosta, and Monterey. This week, the Bulldogs will be in action twice as Hancock will face Cuesta on Wednesday and follow that with a home game 11th ranked Moorpark at home on Saturday.

7. Santiago Canyon (13-4): The Hawks move up one spot from last week after posting a win last week in Orange Empire Conference play. Santiago Canyon picked up a 110-78 home win over Golden West and the Hawks have won seven of their last eight games. This season the Hawks have put together a 4-2 record against teams that have winning records and Santiago Canyon has a huge win against Citrus and Chaffey. This week, Santiago Canyon will face Irvine Valley at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against Cypress on Friday to end their week.

8. Chaffey (15-2): The Panthers make a two spot jump in our latest rankings as Chaffey won two conference games last week. Chaffey picked up wins over Copper Mountain and Desert and remain unbeaten in Inland Empire Conference action. The Panthers are undefeated in conference play and have put together a 4-1 record against teams that have a winning record this season and have a win over Mt. San Antonio this season. This week, the Panthers will be in action twice as Chaffey will host Barstow on Wednesday and follow that up with another home game against 3rd ranked Mt. San Jacinto on Saturday.

9. Cerro Coso (14-3): The Coyotes drop three spots in the rankings after losing their lone game of the week. Cerro Coso lost their first conference game against San Bernardino and had their six game winning streak come to an end. This season, the Coyotes are 5-2 against teams that have a winning record with wins coming against Citrus, Mt. San Jacinto and they have split with Moorpark. This upcoming week, the Coyotes will be in action twice as Cerro Coso will take on Copper Mountain on Wednesday at home and follow that up with a road game against Desert on Saturday.

10. Citrus (11-5): The Owls move up one spot in the rankings after picking up two wins in conference action. Citrus picked up wins over Bakersfield and Santa Monica and have started off conference play with a 2-0 record. Citrus has a 6-5 record against teams that have a winning record and have victories over Moorpark, and MiraCosta so far throughout the season. This upcoming week, the Owls will continue conference play as Citrus will face off against Canyons at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against Los Angeles Valley on Saturday.

11. Moorpark (13-5): The Raiders move up one spot in our week 9 rankings following two wins last week in conference action. Moorpark opened up conference play with a 76-65 win over Los Angeles Pierce and followed that up with a home win against Santa Barbara. The Raiders have a sensational non conference part of their season as Moorpark was 7-5 against teams that posted a winning record. Moorpark recorded wins against West Los Angeles, Fullerton, East Los Angeles, and Cerro Coso. This upcoming week, the Raiders will take on Ventura on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against 6th ranked Allan Hancock on Saturday.

12. East Los Angeles (11-5): The Huskies move up one spot in the rankings after putting together two wins in non conference action last week. East Los Angeles picked up two wins over Cerritos and El Camino and the Huskies have won eight straight games in a row since losing to Fullerton on December 14th. This season the Huskies have an 0-5 record against teams that have a winning record this season. This week, the Huskies will have a chance to pick up their first win against a team that has a winning record as East Los Angeles will face 13th ranked Los Angeles Southwest on Wednesday on the road and follow that up with a home game against Los Angeles Harbor on Friday.

13. Los Angeles Southwest (11-5): The Cougars dropped four spots in the rankings after going 1-1 last week. Los Angeles Southwest picked up a win over Los Angeles Trade Tech but followed that up with a tough loss on the road against Pasadena. The Cougars are 4-3 against teams that have a winning record and Los Angeles Southwest have a victory over a very good San Francisco team. This week, the Cougars will be on the court twice as Los Angeles Southwest host 12th ranked East Los Angeles on Wednesday and follows that up with a road game against 5th ranked Mt. San Antonio on Friday evening.

14. MiraCosta (11-6): The Spartans move up one spot in our newest rankings after posting two wins in conference action a week ago. MiraCosta picked up wins over Southwestern and San Diego Mesa and the Spartans remain hot as they have won four games in a row. The Spartans have a 1-5 record against tams that have a winning record. This week, MiraCosta will face Grossmont on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against San Diego Miramar on Friday.

15. San Bernardino (11-7): The Wolverines jump back into our rankings after picking up two wins last week in Inland Empire conference action. San Bernardino knocked off Cerro Coso and followed that up with a road win against Victor Valley. The Wolverines are 8-2 in their last ten games and have put together a 3-6 record against teams that have put together a winning record and San Bernardino has victories over East Los Angeles and just recently knocked off a very good Cerro Coso team. This week, San Bernardino will be on the road twice as the Wolverines will take on Palo Verde on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against Barstow on Friday.
