Vikings still remain unbeaten and in top spot

1. West Valley (21-0): The Vikings continue to roll and stay at the top of our rankings in our STLB week 11 rankings after posting a win last week. West Valley cruised pas Gavilan 91-67 for their 21st straight win and the Vikings improved to 5-0 Coast South Conference play. This season the Vikings have put together a 11-0 record against teams that have posted a winning record and West Valley has victories over Fullerton, Chabot, San Diego, San Jose, Cabrillo and San Francisco twice this season. This week, West Valley will be in action twice as the Vikings will face Foothill on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against 10th ranked San Jose as the 2nd half of conference begins.

2. Chabot (17-4): The Gladiators remain at number two in our rankings this week after putting together a win last week in Coast North Conference action. Chabot extended their win streak to five games after beating Las Positas 91-76 at home. Chabot has put together a 8-4 record against teams that have a winning record and have posted victories against Fresno, San Francisco, Skyline and all four of their losses have come against teams that are ranked within our rankings. This week, the Gladiators will be in action twice as Chabot will Ohlone in Fremont on Wednesday and follow that up with a home game against Canada on Friday in Coast North Conference play.

3. Yuba (19-2): The 49ers continue to roll and stay put at number three in our rankings following a two win week in Bay Valley Conference action. Yuba extended their win streak to 13 games following a win over Napa Valley and Solano last week. Yuba has ran the table in conference play and has posted a 5-1 record against teams that have a winning record and the 49ers have a victory over San Francisco, Moorpark and Los Medanos. This week, the 49ers will be in action one time as Yuba will face Marin on the road on Wednesday evening.

4. Cabrillo (19-2): The Seahawks continue to play solid basketball and remain at number four following two wins last week. Cabrillo needed a late comeback but knocked off Foothill 76-75 at home and followed that up with a 89-84 victory over a solid Monterey team to remain within a game of West Valley in the Coast South Conference standings. This season the Seahawks have a 6-2 record against teams that have a winning record and Cabrillo has knocked off San Jose, Monterey, and Columbia. This week, the Seahawks will face Gavilan at home on Wednesday and follow that up with another home game against Hartnell on Friday evening.

5. San Francisco (16-5): The Rams round off our top 5 after putting together two wins last week. San Francisco picked up a 63-47 win over Skyline and followed that up with a 88-74 road win over Las Positas as the Rams remain a game back behind Chabot in the Coast North standings. This season the Rams have put together a 9-5 record against teams that have a winning record and San Francisco has knocked off Sequoias twice, Ohlone, San Jose, Santa Rosa, Moorpark and San Bernardino. This upcoming week, the Rams will take on Canada at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against San Mateo on Friday in conference action.

6. Merced (17-3): The Blue Devils remain hot and stay at number six in our rankings following another two wins. Merced picked up wins over Reedley and West Hills Coalinga and the Blue Devils are in a tie with Columbia atop the Central Valley Conference standings. This season the Blue Devils have posted a 5-2 record against teams that have a winning record and Merced has victories over Columbia, Sequoias, Monterey, and Skyline. This upcoming week, the Blue Devils will be on the road as Merced will face 12th ranked West Hills Lemoore on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against Fresno on Saturday.

7. Sacramento (19-2): The leaders of the Big 8 Conference remain at number seven following a two win week. Sacramento edged Modesto 69-66 and followed that up with a 94-83 road win over Diablo Valley for their third straight win since losing to San Joaquin Delta. This season the Panthers are 6-1 against teams that have a winning record and Sacramento has wins over Los Medanos, Ohlone, and Santa Rosa. This week, the Panthers will be in action one time as Sacramento will host 11th ranked Santa Rosa on Tuesday in Big 8 Conference action.

8. Columbia (17-3): The Claim Jumpers remain put in our rankings at number eight following a two win week in conference action. Columbia picked up wins over Porterville and West Hills Lemoore and the co leaders of the Central Valley Conference continue to play well. This season the Claim Jumpers have a 4-2 record against teams that have a winning record and Columbia has victories over Sequoias, West Hills Lemoore, and Cosumnes River twice. This upcoming week, Columbia will be in action twice as the Claim Jumpers will face Fresno on the road on Wednesday and follow that up with another road game against 9th ranked Sequoias on Saturday in Visalia.

9. Sequoias (16-4): The Giants remain put in our week 11 rankings after putting together two wins last week. Sequoias picked up wins over West Hills Coalinga and Fresno and the Giants have won four straight games after losing their first two conference games. This season the Giants have a 6-4 record against teams that have a winning record with wins against Allan Hancock, West Hills Lemoore, and San Jose. This week, the Giants will face Reedley at home on Wednesday and follow that up with a big game against 8th ranked Columbia at home on Saturday evening.

10. San Jose (16-5): The Jags remain put in our rankings and come in at number ten this week. San Jose picked up a 94-65 win over Foothill in their lone game last week and the Jags have won three straight Coast South Conference games after losing their first two. This season, San Jose has victories over Chabot, Ohlone, Los Medanos, and San Diego. This week, the Jags will face off against Hartnell on Wednesday in Salinas and follow that up with a huge road game against top ranked West Valley in Saratoga on Friday.

11. Santa Rosa (15-6): The Bearcubs continue to climb up our rankings and move up one spot in week 11 after posting two wins. Santa Rosa knocked off Diablo Valley and Folsom Lake and have now won five straight in Big 8 Conference action and trail Sacramento by a game for the conference lead. This season the Bearcubs have a 3-5 record against teams that have a winning record and Santa Rosa has wins over Redwoods twice and a victory over Skyline. This upcoming week, the Bearcubs will take on 7th ranked Sacramento on the road on Tuesday and follow that up with a home game against San Joaquin Delta on Friday evening in Big 8 Conference action.

12. West Hills Lemoore (14-5): The Golden Eagles drop one spot in our rankings after going 1-1 in Central Valley Conference action. West Hills Lemoore beat Fresno 81-74 but suffered a home loss against Columbia and the Golden Eagles are now in a tie for second place one game behind Columbia and Merced. This season the Golden Eagles have put together a 3-5 record against teams that have a winning record and Lemoore has a victory over Citrus and Ohlone. This week, the Golden Eagles will be in action twice as West Hills Lemoore will face 6th ranked Merced on Wednesday and follow that up with a road game against Porterville on Saturday.

13. Los Medanos (13-7): The Mustangs enter the rankings following two straight wins last week. Los Medanos knocked off Merritt and Mendocino and the Mustangs sit in 2nd place in the Bay Valley Conference. The Mustangs have been in and out the rankings a lot this season and have a 0-6 record against teams that have a winning record. This week the Mustangs will be in action one time as Los Medanos will face Contra Costa on the road on Friday evening.

14. Ohlone (13-8): The Renegades stay put in our rankings following a 1-1 week in Coast North Conference action. Ohlone had a setback against San Mateo on the road but followed that up with a road win over Canada and the Renegades are sitting in 3rd place two games behind Chabot. This season the Renegades have put together a 4-6 record against teams that have posted a winning record and the Fremont based school has wins over Skyline, Cosumnes River and Cabrillo. This upcoming week, the Renegades will have one game as Ohlone will host 2nd ranked Chabot on Wednesday night.

15. Skyline (16-6): The Trojans stay put in our rankings following a 1-1 week in Coast North Conference action. Skyline lost to San Francisco 63-47 but followed that up with a comeback win over San Mateo 71-66. The Trojans sit at 3-3 in conference play at the moment and have put together a 4-6 record against teams that have a winning record and Skyline has knocked off Monterey, West Hills Lemoore and Los Medanos this year. This week, the Trojans will be in action once as Skyline will travel to Livermore and take on Las Positas on Friday evening.
