Hancock becomes fourth different number 1 in Socal

1. Allan Hancock (20-4): The Bulldogs take over the top spot in Southern California for week 13 after putting together two wins last week. Allan Hancock picked up wins over Oxnard and Cuesta and the Bulldogs have won 16 straight games as conference play is winding down. The Bulldogs currently hold a half game lead in conference action and have posted a 8-3 record against teams with winning records with wins coming over Citrus, San Jose, Moorpark, MiraCosta and Fresno this season. This upcoming week, the Bulldogs will face off against 9th ranked Moorpark on the road tomorrow night and follow that up with a home game against Los Angeles Pierce on Saturday.

2. West Los Angeles (21-3): The Wildcats jump up one spot in our rankings following two wins last week in conference play. West Los Angeles picked up wins against Glendale and Bakersfield and share the lead in the Western State South Conference with four games left in the regular season. This season the Wildcats have put together a 9-2 record against teams that have a winning record with wins over San Diego, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles Southwest. This upcoming week, the Wildcats will face Santa Monica on the road tomorrow night and follow that up with a home game against Canyons on Saturday.

3. San Diego (21-4): The Knights move up one spot in the rankings after posting ttwo wins last week. San Diego continues to roll since their loss against MiraCosta after picking up wins against Southwestern and Imperial Valley. This season the Knights have put together a 8-4 record against teams that have posted a winning record with wins against Chabot, Allan Hancock, Yuba, and Saddleback. This upcoming week, the Knights will take their half game lead into action on Friday against a very good San Diego Miramar team for their lone game of the week.

4. Fullerton (21-4): The Hornets drop three spots after going 1-1 last week in Orange Empire Conference action. Fullerton picked up a win over Orange Coast but had a setback losing to Santiago Canyon 69-65 on the road for their first conference loss. The Hornets hold a two game lead with two games left and have put together a 10-4 record against teams that are over .500 and have victories against MiraCosta, Chabot, West Los Angeles, East Los Angeles and Santiago Canyon. This upcoming week the Hornets will face Irvine Valley later tonight and follow that up with a road game against Saddleback on Thursday.

5. Mt. San Jacinto (22-2): The Eagles stay put in our rankings at number five after putting together a win last week in conference play. Mt. San Jacinto picked up a 89-81 win over San Bernardino and the Eagles sit in 2nd place at the moment in the Inland Empire Conference. This season, Mt. San Jacinto has a 7-2 record against teams that have a winning record with wins against San Bernardino, Cerro Coso, Pasadena, West Hills Lemoore and East Los Angeles. This upcoming week, the Eagles will be in action twice as Mt. San Jacinto will face Copper Mountain at home tomorrow and follow that up with another home game against Desert on Saturday.

6. Mt. San Antonio (22-2): The Mounties stay put in our rankings after posting two wins last week in conference play. Mt. San Antonio picked up wins over Los Angeles Trade Tech and Los Angeles City for their sixth straight win. The Mounties are at the top of the South Coast North Conference and this season have put together a 8-2 record against teams above .500 with victories coming against Pasadena, East Los Angeles, Cerritos, Santiago Canyon and Citrus. This upcoming week is a huge week for the Mounties as they control their own destiny as Mt. San Antonio faces 11th ranked East Los Angeles at home tomorrow night and follow that up with a road game on Friday night against Pasadena.

7. Chaffey (21-3): The Panthers remain put in our rankings after posting a win last week in Inland Conference Empire play. Chaffey cruised past Copper Mountain 104-72 and won their fourth straight win as they remain in the lead in conference action with four games to go. Chaffey has put together a 7-3 record against teams that have a winning record with wins over San Bernardino twice, Mt. San Jacinto, and Mt. San Antonio. This week, the Panthers will face Desert at home tomorrow night and follow that up with a road game against Barstow on Saturday.

8. Citrus (18-6): The Owls move up two spots in the rankings after putting together two wins last week. Citrus slipped past Santa Monica 80-73 and followed that up with a 90-63 road win over Canyons as the Owls remain in a first place tie in the Western State South Conference with four games to go. Citrus has put together an 8-6 record against teams that have a winning record and the Owls have victories over MiraCosta, Pasadena, Cerritos, Moorpark and Santa Monica twice. This upcoming week, the Owls will face Los Angeles Valley tomorrow and end their week on the road in a key game against Glendale on the road on Saturday.

9. Moorpark (19-6): The Raiders move up two spots in the rankings following a two win week in conference action. Moorpark picked up wins over Santa Barbara and Ventura and remain a 1/2 game back in Western State North Conference action. This season, the Raiders have put together a 6-6 record against teams that have a winning record with wins coming against East Los Angeles, West Los Angeles, Fullerton, Saddleback and Cerro Coso. This week the Raiders will be in action twice as Moorpark will face top ranked Allan Hancock tomorrow at home and follow that up with another home game against Oxnard on Saturday.

10. Santiago Canyon (18-6): The Hawks move up two spots in the rankings following a two win week in Orange Empire Conference play. Santiago Canyon knocked off Santa Ana and picked up a home win over Fullerton as the Hawks are in 2nd place by 2 games with four games to go. This season, the Hawks have put together a 6-5 record against teams that have posted a winning record with wins coming against Chaffey, MiraCosta, Fullerton, Saddleback, and Citrus. This week, the Hawks will be in action twice as Santiago Canyon will take on Golden West on the road in a game that is currently being played for their lone game of the week.

11. Cerro Coso (20-5): The Coyotes drop three spots in our rankings following a 1-1 week in conference play. Cerro Coso picked up a win over Palo Verde but suffered a loss against San Bernardino at home and trail conference leading Chaffey by two games with three games to go. This season, the Coyotes have a 5-4 record against teams that have a winning record and have victories over Moorpark, Los Angeles Southwest, Citrus, Mt. San Jacinto and Chaffey. This week, the Coyotes will face Copper Mountain in their lone game of the week.

12. East Los Angeles (17-7): The Huskies move up one spot in the rankings following two wins last week in conference play. East Los Angeles picked up wins against Los Angeles City and Pasadena and the Huskies have won four straight games since opening conference play with two straight losses. This season, East Los Angeles has a 6-7 record against teams that have a winning record with wins coming against Pasadena, Los Angeles Southwest, Cerritos, and Santa Monica twice. This week, the Huskies have two games as they will face 6th ranked Mt. San Antonio on the road tomorrow and follow that up with a home game on Friday against Rio Hondo.

13. MiraCosta (17-7): The Spartans drop four spots in the rankings after going 1-1 last week in conference play. MiraCosta picked up a close win over Southwestern but suffered an unexpected home loss against Palomar as the Spartans trail San Diego in conference play by a 1/2 game with four games to go. This season the Spartans have put together a 4-5 record against teams that have a winning record with wins coming against San Diego, Moorpark, and San Diego Miramar. This upcoming week, the Spartans will be in action twice, as MiraCosta will face San Diego Mesa at home tomorrow night and follow that up with another home game against Grossmont on Friday evening.

14. Cerritos (15-9): The conference leaders of the South Coast South move up one spot in our rankings after putting together two wins last week. Cerritos picked up wins over Long Beach and El Camino and the Falcons have won eight straight games and playing solid basketball at the right time. This season the Falcons have posted a 4-8 record against teams that have a winning record with wins against Los Angeles Southwest, Pasadena, Fresno and Allan Hancock. This week, Cerritos will have two games as the Falcons will face Compton on the road tomorrow night and follow that up with a home game against Los Angeles Southwest on Friday.

15. San Bernardino (16-9): The Wolverines drop one spot in the rankings following a 1-1 week. San Bernardino lost to Mt. San Jacinto 89-81 but followed that up with a win against Cerro Coso on the road as the Wolverines are currently sitting in fourth place in conference play with three games to go. This season, San Bernardino has a 5-9 record against teams that have a winning record with two wins against Cerro Coso, also picked up wins against East Los Angeles, Saddleback and Saddleback. This week, the Wolverines will be in action twice as San Bernardino host Victor Valley tomorrow night and follow that up with another home game against Palo Verde on Saturday.
