Kobe Newton made five three pointers and Chazz Hutchinson added 17 points and 10 rebounds as top ranked Fullerton (6-0) used suffocating defense to pick up a 70-61 win on the road against 2nd ranked San Diego (4-2) in a battle of our top two teams in Southern California. The Hornets held the Knights to 38% from the floor and San Diego shot 3 of 19 from downtown in the loss. Jonathan Ogugua had 25 points and Josh Williams added 21 points in the loss for the Knights.

Saratoga, CA – (1) West Valley 95 (4) San Mateo 72

Quinn Denker had 34 points and Adam Afifi added 19 points as top ranked West Valley (7-0) won their seventh straight game with a 95-72 win over 4th ranked San Mateo (6-1) in a battle of teams within our top 5 in Northern California. The win for the Vikings was their second straight win over a top 5 opponent within our Signal The Light Basketball Northern California rankings.

7th ranked East Los Angeles (6-2) went on the road and picked up a 75-69 win over Cerritos (4-3) for their third straight win on Saturday night.

Sonora, CA – (3) Columbia 85 Butte 70

Marcus McCutchen had 18 points and Deshawn Bartley added 17 points as 3rd ranked Columbia (7-0) remained undefeated with a 85-70 win over Butte (4-3). Daniel Montoya had 19 points and Rolontae Knowles added 15 points in the loss for the Roadrunners.

Woodland Hills, CA – Compton 76 Los Angeles Pierce 71

Compton (3-2) went on the road and picked up a 76-71 victory over Los Angeles Pierce (3-4).

Ridgecrest, CA – Cerro Coso 81 Bakersfield 62

Zarius Benson-Moore had 14 points and Jhadon Banks added 13 points and two other Coyotes scored in double figures as Cerro Coso (5-1) won their second straight game and continued their hot start with a 81-62 win over Bakersfield (3-3)

Palomar Thanksgiving Tournament – San Marcos, CA

In day two action, Jaylen Williams scored 21 points and Dennis Cash added 13 points and 12 rebounds as 15th ranked Los Angeles Harbor (5-0) opened up a 33 point halftime lead and cruised to a 96-66 victory over Imperial Valley (0-6). Tavontae Carruthers had 23 points and made five three pointers and Mathew Montalvo added 17 points in the loss.

In game two, rocco Ponmpeo made six three pointers and had 22 points and Angel Hammer added 12 points and 10 rebounds as Moorpark (3-6) overcame a 8 point 2nd half deficit to pick up a 77-71 win over Victor Valley (1-8). Blake Goodrow had 20 points and 10 rebounds and Kany Rey added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the loss for the Rams.

In the final game of the evening, Andrew Milot had 23 points and Chris Howard added 12 points and 7 rebounds as 14th ranked Palomar (5-1) won their fourth straight game with a 79-70 win over Orange Coast (4-4). Jydon Hall had 15 points and Ty Barker added 12 points in the loss for the Pirates.

Camron Wilson had 32 points and 14 rebounds, Mack Tarver Jr. added 29 points and Milton Burnett added 22 points and 7 assists as West Hills Lemoore (4-3) picked up a 96-83 road win over Hartnell (2-5). Tyler Biddison had a game high of 33 points in the loss for the Panthers.
