Leonard Turner made a late basket in overtime and had 19 points and Cedric Reed made eight three pointers as 11th ranked Citrus (8-4) edged 7th ranked East Los Angeles 101-99 in overtime on Wednesday evening. JT Langston had 19 points and Dezmond Washington added 15 points and 11 rebounds in the loss for East Los Angeles (8-4).

Kobe Newton made six three pointers and scored a game high of 24 points and Gaven Ramirez added 13 points as 2nd ranked Fullerton (11-1, 1-0) used a huge 2nd half to cruise past Santa Ana 86-56 in both teams conference opener. Ian Hietala had 15 points and Nathan McGee-Caldwell added 14 points in the loss for Santa Ana (3-8, 0-1).

In other action in Southern California, Edwyn Collins had 25 points and 9 rebounds and Amir Davis added 21 points and 7 rebounds as 15th ranked Riverside (9-4, 1-0) opened up conference action with a 100-77 win over Golden West (4-6, 0-1). Ricky Briseno made seven three pointers and scored 35 points in the loss.

In Costa Mesa, Drew Yezbak had 19 points and 5 rebounds and Preston Sims added 15 points as 4th ranked Santiago Canyon (11-1, 1-0) won their eighth straight game with a 93-65 crushing victory over Orange Coast (4-7, 0-1). Aundrel Pua had 22 points and Jydon Hall added 15 points and 5 assists in the loss for the Pirates.

Atiba Taylor scored 20 points and Jimuel Reyes added 14 points as Saddleback (8-4, 1-0) went on the road and slipped past Cypress 70-68. Felix Reeves had 15 points and Tommie Flanagan added 11 points in the loss for Cypress (8-5, 0-1).

In San Diego, six Knights scored in double figures led by Josh Williams and Jonathan Ogugua’s 15 points each as 5th ranked San Diego (10-3, 1-0) used a big second half to cruise past Cuyamaca 89-59. Ray King had 16 points and 6 rebounds and Carlos Arevalo added 15 points in the loss for Cuyamaca (3-7, 0-1).

In other action, Palomar (8-4, 1-0) went on the road and picked up a 78-76 win over 13th ranked San Diego Miramar (6-3, 0-1).

Jordan Shelley had 22 points and Carter Plousha added 11 points as MiraCosta (4-7, 1-0) opened up conference play with a 84-57 win over Imperial Valley (0-10, 0-1).

In a battle of two teams in the San Diego area, Devin Hilliard had 14 points and Devin Lee added 12 points as Southwestern (4-9, 1-0) used a solid defensive effort to pick up a 61-46 win over Grossmont (2-9, 0-1).

Santa Monica, CA – Santa Monica 74 Cerritos 71

Anthony Jaramillo scored 15 points and Alex Villi added 12 points and 8 rebounds as Santa Monica (5-8) picked up a huge 74-71 win over Cerritos (6-6). Juice Belvin had 14 points and Jalen Shores added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the loss for the Falcons.

Josh Miller made five three pointers and had 15 points as 14th ranked Cerro Coso (10-2, 1-0) won their conference opener with a 74-66 win over Barstow (5-7, 0-1).

In other action, Tyler Hudson scored 17 points and Cris Dominguez added 15 points as Copper Mountain (4-8, 1-0) edged Mt. San Jacinto 65-60 on Wednesday night. Anton Mozga had 21 points and Ethan Bell added 11 points for Mt. San Jacinto (5-6, 0-1) in the loss.

In Rancho Cucamonga, Eulysses Foston scored 13 points as Chaffey (5-7, 1-0) opened up conference play with a 60-43 win over Palo Verde (7-6, 0-1). Larry Hemingway had 12 points and Karl Wright added 10 points in the loss for the Pirates.
