Trade Tech and Fullerton battle in opener
The season tips off tonight as 13th ranked Los Angeles Trade Tech will take on top ranked Fullerton in a battle between two ranked teams in our Signal The Light Basketball rankings. The Beavers come into the season with plenty of talent and will test the Hornets tonight. Los Angeles Trade Tech starts the season off at number 13, but the Beavers are a team that could make a lot of noise this season as head coach Marcus Bryant and staff have put together a team that is capable of beating anyone in the state. Meanwhile, Fullerton comes into the season as our top ranked team in Southern California and will be tested tonight. The Hornets have an explosive back court and Fullerton will look to pick up a huge early season victory on the road.
In other action around the state, Santa Monica who just missed out on our rankings will take on 12th ranked Cerritos. The Corsairs will look to pick up an important early season win but will have to beat a Cerritos team that is expected to compete for a conference championship in the South Coast South Conference.
12th ranked Skyline will be in action in Northern California as the Trojans will take on a much improved Marin team in opening action at 5pm later tonight.
