Palomar Crossover Tournament – San Marcos, CA

In a battle of two top 15 teams within our Southern California Signal The Light Basketball rankings, sophomore Demetrius Douglas had 27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Louis Walker added 19 points and 19 rebounds as 15th ranked Los Angeles Harbor (7-0) won their seventh straight game with a 87-68 win over 10th ranked Palomar (5-2) after a big second half. Ciro Baeza had 15 points and Clyde Harris added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the loss for the Comets.

In other action action in Southern California, Jydon Hall made five three pointers and scored 23 points and Logen Howard added 15 points and 8 assists as Orange Coast (5-0) won their fifth straight game with a 98-81 victory over winless Imperial Valley (0-7). Isarael Bynum had 20 points and 8 rebounds and Julian Beltran added 15 points in the loss for the Arabs.

Jakob Milling had a double double with 22 points and 13 rebounds and Michael Batchelor added 12 points as 3rd ranked San Diego Miramar (6-1) cruised past Oxnard 82-32 early Saturday evening. James Webster had 11 points and 8 rebounds in the loss for Oxnard (2-5).

Columbia College Tournament – Sonora, CA

In the first game of the tournament, Elisee Ehuie had 22 points and 10 rebounds and Khyree Reese added 17 points and 10 rebounds as West Hills Coalinga (5-2) picked up a 74-71 win over Folsom Lake (1-4). Dane Johnson had 18 points and Donovan Cokley added 16 points in the loss.

In other action, Marques Sales II scored 26 points and Daniel Rico added 13 points as 4th ranked Columbia (6-1) won their fourth straight game with a 74-62 win pulling away late from Lassen (3-8). Mason Saso had 16 points and Trey Wilmot added 14 points in the loss for the Cougars.

Salinas, CA – (6) Sequoias 82 Hartnell 78

Terri Miller had 22 points and Jahvon Garcia added 19 points as 6th ranked Sequoias (5-2) slipped past Hatnell 82-78 in non conference action. Raleigh Simpson had 23 points and Connor Brown added 20 points in the loss for Hartnell (1-6).

San Luis Obispo, CA – Cuesta 87 (12) Cabrillo 81

In non conference action, Aaron Russell had 25 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists and Drew Ardouin added 22 points and 6 rebounds as Cuesta (4-4) picked up an 87-81 win over 12th ranked Cabrillo (4-2) and ended their four game winning streak. Joe Rush had 22 points and Darius Best added 19 points in the loss for the Seahawks.

San Pablo, CA – (8) Contra Costa 80 Sacramento 58

Dwayne Johnson had 20 points and 5 rebounds and Miles Lewis added 16 points and 4 rebounds as 8th ranked Contra Costa (4-2) cruised to a 80-58 home opening win over Sacramento (3-3). Andrew Ferrara-Jones added 28 points in the loss for the Panthers.

Eureka, CA – Redwoods 76 Marin 60

Trey Neff had 26 points and Jon Nchekwube added 18 points as Redwoods (10-1) became the first team to win 10 games this season with a 76-60 win over Marin (2-5).
