Canyons wins 5th straight
Cougar Holiday Classic – Valencia, CA
Andrew Henderson had 22 points and 8 assists and Dillon Barrientos added 17 points as Canyons (9-5) won their 5th straight win with a 101-93 victory over Orange Coast (10-4). Jydon Hall had 28 points and Logen Howard added 18 points in the loss for the Pirates.
In other action, Nick Hopkins had 14 points and 9 rebounds and Jay Milner added 13 points and 8 rebounds as Mt. San Antonio (8-7) used a big first half and cruised passed Los Angeles Trade Tech 65-48. Devon Jainlett had 19 points and 11 rebounds and Roland McDougall III added 12 points in the loss.
Mesa, AZ – Salt Lake City 70 (5) San Bernardino 65
Top ranked Salt Lake City City Community College picked up a hard fought victory over 5th ranked San Bernardino 70-65 on Thursday evening in Arizona. Armon Muldrew had 24 points and Dominique Daniels added 22 points and 6 assists in the loss for San Bernardino (10-3) who finished in 2nd place at the prestigious Mesa Community College Shootout.
San Francisco – (2) San Francisco 96 (14) Siskiyous 64
Mezziah Oakman had 15 points and Jamir Thomas added 13 points as 2nd ranked San Francisco (12-2) picked up a 96-64 win over 14th ranked Siskiyous (11-7). Dylan Neufeld had 12 points and Zane Leuth added 11 points in the loss.
Oroville, CA – Butte 73 Skyline 61
Marvelous Owens had 15 points and 8 rebounds and Ozzy Meadows added 14 points and 6 rebounds as Butte (8-9) picked up a 73-61 non conference win over Skyline (7-6). Dominic Wilson had 18 points and 10 rebounds and DeAndre Minor added 10 points in the loss for the Trojans.

Sacramento, CA – Cosumnes River 73 Sierra 54
Cosumnes River (8-7, 2-1) moved within a 1/2 game of first place Santa Rosa picking up a 73-54 win over Sierra (7-8, 1-2) in conference action on Thursday evening.
Modesto, CA – Modesto 68 American River 65
Ogun Delaney had 24 points and Ethan Parker added 19 points as Modesto (4-11, 1-2) picked up a 68-65 win over American River (3-11, 2-1).

Fairfield, CA – Solano 86 Alameda 78
Jonathan Cobbs had 31 points and 8 rebounds and Matthew Elliot added 16 points as Solano (3-10, 1-1) picked up their first conference win with a 86-78 win over Alameda (2-11, 0-2). Jordan Jackson had 17 points and 9 rebounds and Saji Muanza added 20 points in the loss for the Cougars.
Ukiah, CA – Mendocino 73 Merritt 61
Jack Reardon had 22 points and AJ Cuffie added 18 points as Mendocino (4-9, 1-0) opened up conference play with a 73-61 win over Merritt (5-9, 0-2). Shamar Cook had 17 points and DJ Leaks added 12 points in the loss.
Cuyamaca Classic – El Cajon, CA
In day two action in southern California 3rd ranked East Los Angeles (11-2) won their eighth straight game with a 119-57 win over tournament host Cuyamaca (1-12).
In the second game of the day, Antelope Valley (6-7) picked up a 87-82 win over San Diego Mesa (5-7). Jaiden Pate had 27 points in the loss for the Olympians.
Holiday Classic – Santa Maria, CA
In the first game of the evening, Drew Ardouin had 24 points and Mason Romano added 19 points and 8 rebounds as Cuesta (8-7) moved over .500 with a 92-64 win over Hartnell (2-13). Conner Brown had 18 points and Raleigh Shippen added 13 points in the loss for the Panthers.
In the night cap, Quincy Bentley had 22 points and Vondre Chase added 13 points and 5 rebounds as Allan Hancock (9-6) used a big first half and picked up a 87-71 victory over Chabot (7-6). Jaiden Rivera had 20 points and Zach Broadous added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the loss for the Gladiators.
