Skip Robinson Classic – Pasadena, CA

In first day action in Southern California, Tyson Jackson had 21 points and 7 rebounds and Collin O’Malley added 12 points as Glendale (3-2) won their second straight game with a 57-54 win over Cypress (1-3). Mark Onyejekwe had 15 points and Allen Wright added 13 points in the loss for the Chargers.

In the second game of the day, Nick Hopkins had 20 points and 7 rebounds and Ernest Love added 14 points as 9th ranked Mt. San Antonio (4-0) remained unbeaten with an 84-61 win over Los Angeles Pierce (1-3). Keshawn Christian had 17 points and Kameron Brown added 10 points in the loss for the Brahmas.

In the third game, Malachi Jones had 13 points and Xa Landry added 12 points as Antelope Valley (1-3) ended a three game skid and slipped past 6th ranked Santiago Canyon 79-74. Chico Lopez had 16 points and Kai Smith added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the loss for Santiago Canyon (4-1).

In the final game of the night, Zach Broadous had 18 points and 7 rebounds and Makaio Mims added 18 points and 12 rebounds as 7th ranked Chabot (4-2) ended a two game skid and knocked off 12th ranked Pasadena 92-69 on the road. Myles Watkins had 19 points and Deen Abdur-Rahmann added 17 points in the loss for Pasadena (1-3).

College of San Mateo Classic – San Mateo, CA

In the first game of the day, Yasir Rowell had 26 points and Tyreon Payne added 22 points as 14th ranked Merced (5-1) picked up a 88-84 win over San Mateo (2-3). It was the third straight win for the Blue Devils to start the season.

In other action, Alijah Washington had 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Jaylin Leslie added 14 points and 5 rebounds as Foothill (2-1) picked up a 76-70 win over Cuesta (0-5).

Mendocino Invitational – Ukiah, CA

In first round action in Northern California, American River (3-3) moved to .500 with a 64-60 afternoon win over Redwoods (1-5). Mason Railsback had 19 points and Kai Purcell added 14 points in the loss for the Corsairs.

In other first round action, Devin Carson had 30 points and Ramon Bailey added 19 points as Los Medanos advanced to the semi finals with a 92-83 win over Lassen. Erin Chamble had 22 points and Qshawn Ongele added 20 points in the loss for the Cougars. The Mustangs will next face American River tomorrow in the semi finals and Redwoods will take on Lassen in the consolation side of the bracket.

In the third game of the first round, Leo Wagner had 24 points and Sidney Duplessis added 24 points and 6 assists as 9th ranked Sacramento (4-0) won their fourth straight game with a 76-60 win over Siskiyous (2-4). Cole Bernius had 11 points in the loss for the Eagles.

In the night cap, Jordan Emory had 18 points and 8 rebounds, and Nathan Behr added 11 points and 12 rebounds as Mendocino (2-1) won their second straight game and advanced to the semi finals with a 87-76 win over West Hills Coalinga (2-1). Ahmadou Aw had 16 points and 14 rebounds and Noah Richmond added 12 points and 9 assists in the loss for the Falcons. The Eagles will next face Sacramento tomorrow in the semi finals and West Hills Coalinga will face Siskiyous in the consolation bracket.

Giant Classic – Visalia, CA

Chidi Obichere had 24 points and 6 rebounds and Joel Baez added 18 points as Los Angeles Southwest (3-1) knocked off 3rd ranked San Francisco 74-70 Thursday night in Visalia. William Williams had 25 points and Jalen Glenn added 14 points in the loss for San Francisco (5-1).

In the second game of the tournament, Jose Cuello had 19 points and 6 assists and Omari Nesbit added 14 points as 4th ranked Sequoias (3-0) remained unbeaten with a 83-72 victory over Contra Costa (0-4). Mikey Pierce had 20 points and Jamil Harris added 17 points and 7 rebounds in the loss for the Comets.

Shasta Invitational – Redding, CA

In first round action Jalen Cunningham had 15 points and Solomon Tucker added 11 points as 5th ranked Cabrillo (4-0) won their fourth straight game with a 72-40 win over Feather River (1-4).

In other action, Jackson Smyth had 16 points and Chris Holley added 11 points and 6 assists as Santa Rosa (3-2) picked up a 92-48 win over Shasta (1-4).

Mohamed Hantous had 22 points and Will Comerford added 14 points as Merritt (1-2) picked up their first victory of the season with a 69-64 victory over the Simpson JV.

Josh Govett had 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Mitchell Rawlins added 15 points and 11 rebounds as Orange Coast edged Los Angeles City 93-88 on Thursday evening. Caleb Shepherd had 30 points and 9 rebounds and Luke Olmstead added 23 points in the loss for City.
