San Diego Mesa jumped out to a 17-4 lead and kept the peddle down the rest of the game and crushed Santa Ana to open up the season 84-55 in Santa Ana. Emanwel Henry and Javen Woodall each scored 17 points for San Diego Mesa (1-0) in the victory. Brandon Green had 10 points and 5 assists in the loss for Santa Ana (0-1).

Fullerton – (2) Fullerton 88 Los Angeles Trade Tech 70

Three Fullerton players scored in double figures led by Collin Reed’s 12 points as 2nd ranked Fullerton (1-0) cruised to a season opening win over Los Angeles Trade Tech 88-70 on Monday evening. Ronnie Stapp and Chazz Hutchison both added 11 points in the win for the Hornets. Kaelin Petty had 21 points and Dahmaj Warren added 15 points in the loss for Los Angeles Trade Tech (0-1).

Joel Finney had a game high of 18 points and Julian Dixon added 14 points as Glendale (1-0) went on the road and knocked off Chaffey 74-73 on Monday evening. Malik Folston had 17 points and Jozelle Carter added 12 points in the loss for Chaffey (0-1).

Mojus Mojus had 25 points and Yaxel Lendeborg added 15 points as Arizona Western (1-0) cruised to a 91-72 victory over Palo Verde (0-1) on the road in opening night action. Larry Hemingway Jr. led the Pirates with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Daijohn Stewart added 16 points in the loss for Palo Verde.

A Al Najim Ashley made five three pointers and scored a game high 23 points and Romaro Hutchinson added 17 points as Compton (1-0) cruised to a 76-58 win over Victor Valley (0-1). Thomas Siakam added a double double with 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Tartars. Blake Goodrow and Nigerrell Tubbs each had 14 points in the loss for the Rams.
