Columbia Classic begins today

Four teams will be in action in Sonora at the Columbia Classic for the next two day. 2nd ranked Columbia highlights the four team field, southern California Cerro Coso, Marin and Folsom Lake will all take part in the tournament. Cerro Coso and Marin will start up the tournament today at 4pm as Marin will look to pick up their first win of the season after suffering an loss to Skyline earlier this week. Cerro Coso will look to pick up their first win of the season as the Coyotes are making the long trip to face some Northern California competition. In the second game of the night, 2nd ranked Columbia will take on Folsom Lake at 6pm. The Claim Jumpers will look to have a better showing than their Central Valley Conference counterparts as Columbia will look take on an improved Folsom Lake team looking to pick up a win.

In other action today, the Ventura tournament will conclude today as Riverside, Antelope Valley and Ventura will take their undefeated records into todays action. Riverside will face Victor Valley at 12pm, and 8th ranked Ventura will take on Antelope Valley at 2pm. In Santa Monica, 2nd ranked Fullerton (2-0) will face off against another ranked opponent as the Hornets will face 11th ranked Santa Monica (1-0). In another showdown in Santa Monica, 4th ranked West Los Angeles (1-0) will take on 5th ranked San Bernardino (0-1) in a game of two top five STLB ranked opponents.

In San Diego, top ranked San Diego (2-0) will take on San Diego Miramar (2-0) in the championship game of the Don Gehler Memorial Tournament.

In Hayward, 5th ranked Chabot (2-0) will face Feather River in the championship game of the Chabot Classic.

Cuesta and De Anza will open up their season in San Luis Obispo and West Hills Coalinga will open up their season at home against El Camino.
