2nd ranked Fullerton cruises past Santa Monica

Ronnie Stapp had 24 points and Gaven Ramirez added 17 points as 2nd ranked Fullerton (3-0) won their third straight game to start the season with as the Hornets cruised to a 84-69 victory over 11th ranked Santa Monica (1-1).

In the second game of the day, Matthew Mayes had 16 points and 5 rebounds and Justin Williams added 15 points as 4th ranked West Los Angeles (2-0) knocked off 5th ranked San Bernardino 86-72 in action on Saturday afternoon.

In the final game of the tournament, Ramiah Adedigba had 15 points and Hadi Essayli added 12 points as Cypress (1-1) picked up a 80-61 win over Los Angeles Pierce (0-2).

Clash at Canyons

In day two action in Valencia, Ray King had 16 points and 9 rebounds and Jake Pfitzner added 15 points and 14 rebounds as Cuyamaca (1-2) picked up their first win of the season with a 67-63 win over Oxnard (0-2). James Webster had 17 points and 17 rebounds and Aries Vega added 12 points in the loss for the Condors.

In the second game of the day, Canyons (2-0) went over the century mark for the second day in a row as Andrew Henderson scored 23 points and had 15 rebounds and Jimmy Galgano added 13 points as Canyons blew past Barstow 116-84. Christian Taylor had 28 points and 10 rebounds and Mateo Fernandez Solari added 22 points in the loss for Barstow (1-1).

City College of San Francisco Tip Off

Jamir Thomas had 14 points and Wrenn Robinson added 10 points as top ranked San Francisco (2-0) crushed 7th ranked Santa Rosa 79-53.

In other action, 3rd ranked East Los Angeles (2-0) cruised past another Northern California opponent as the Huskies dominated 6th ranked Yuba 74-50. R.J. Smith had 12 points and 8 rebounds in the loss for the 49ers.

Don Gehler Memorial Tournament

In the championship game of the Don Gehler Memorial Tournament San Diego Miramar (3-0) knocked off top ranked San Diego 64-58. It was the Knights first loss of the season and the Jets take home the championship and make an early season statement against their conference foe.

In the 3rd place game, Chad Robinson had 24 points and Noah Woodby added 20 points as Palomar (2-1) took home the third place trophy with a 85-78 win over MiraCosta (1-2).

In the 5th place game, Cody Aquino had 23 points and Jydon Hall and Logen Howard each scored 17 points as Orange Coast (2-1) slipped past Copper Mountain 86-83 earlier in the afternoon. Mikah Blackwell had 29 points and Travion Jackson added 16 points in the loss for Copper Mountain (1-2).

In the 7th place game, Eric Watson had 17 points and 7 rebounds and James Holmes added 14 points as Golden West (1-2) picked up their first win of the season edging Rio Hondo 67-65. Matthew Bigbee had 14 points and 9 rebounds and Sebastian Lara added 12 points in the loss for Rio Hondo (0-3).

Gladiator Classic

In the championship game of the Gladiator Classic, 5th ranked Chabot (3-0) cruised past Feather River 83-67 to win the title.

In the third place game, Porterville (3-1) continued their early season success with a 67-47 win over Canada (1-2).

In the 5th place game, Shasta (2-1) got 30 points and 8 rebounds from Derek Gordon and Samer Khalil added 21 points as the Knights knocked off Reedley 73-65 to take home the 5th place trophy. Josiah James had 17 points and Makhi Turner added 14 points for Reedley (1-2) in the loss.

In the 7th place game, Ohlone (1-2) picked up their first win of the season with a 82-70 win over the Simpson JV. Jordan Gilmete had 23 points and Cameran Thomas added 18 points in the win for the Renegades.

Columbia Classic

In Sonora, Josh Miller scored 28 points and Jalen Williams added 18 points as Cerro Coso (1-0) opened their season with a 89-63 crushing victory over Marin (0-2).

In the night cap, 2nd ranked Columbia, Isaiah Jones had 14 points and Marcus McCutchen added 13 points as 2nd ranked Columbia (1-0) opened their season up with a 82-60 win over Folsom Lake (0-1). Pierce Rexford had 14 points and Tre Adams added 12 points in the loss for the Falcons.

Ventura We Play Hard Tournament

In the final day at the Ventura Tournament, Alexander Carter made five three pointers and had 27 points and 5 rebounds and Ben Condra added 17 points and 7 rebounds as Moorpark (1-2) picked up their first win of the season knocking off Pasadena 100-89 in overtime on Sunday morning. Devan Ford led Pasadena (0-3) with 30 points and 9 rebounds and Jordan Flowers added 21 points and 7 assists in the loss for the Lancers.

In the second game of the day, Zekiah Lovett made five three pointers and had 21 points as 7th ranked Riverside (3-0) completed an undefeated first weekend by blowing out Victor Valley 81-51 on Saturday afternoon. Joshua Ryan and Kany Rey each had 10 points for Victor Valley (0-3) in the loss against Riverside.

In the finale, 8th ranked Ventura (3-0) needed double overtime to pick up a 104-103 win over Antelope Valley (2-1).

Dana Pagett Tip Off

Bonard Jonhoson Jr. had 27 points and 6 rebounds and Kameron Mayhan added 12 points and 15 rebounds as Long Beach (1-1) picked up their first victory of the season beating Santa Ana 78-69 on Saturday morning. Ian Hietala had 14 points and 7 rebounds and Zeke Bennett added 12 points and 3 assists in the loss for Santa Ana (0-3).

In the second game of the day, Preston Sims had 19 points and David Agba added 14 points and 12 rebounds as 6th ranked Santiago Canyon (2-0) finished an undefeated weekend with a 90-66 win over Glendale (2-1). Christian Finney had 19 points and Joel Finney added 11 points for the Vaqueros.

Seahawk Classic

In day two action in Aptos, Tahjae Ordonio had 18 points and Jailen Daniel-Dalton added 16 points as Gavilan (1-2) ended a two game skid with a 93-77 win over Napa (0-2). Shakir Howard had 33 points and Jaivon Williams added 15 points in the loss for the Storm.

In the night cap, 15th ranked Redwoods (3-0) won their third straight game with a 59-58 win over 11th ranked Cabrillo (1-1). Austin James had 19 points and Brandon Harmon added 11 points in the loss for the Seahawks.

San Jose City College Tip Off

In early action on Saturday, Parker Hunt had 18 points and 9 rebounds and Chris Anderson added 17 points and 8 assists as Monterey (2-1) cruised to a 90-47 victory over Lassen (0-3). Kaden Koenig had 8 points in the loss for the Cougars.

In other action, 12th ranked San Mateo (3-0) crushed Merced 102-60 to pick up their third straight victory to start the season.

In the finale of the tournament, Justice Owens had 21 points and David Galentine added 16 points as 9th ranked San Jose (3-0) stayed undefeated with a 85-71 win over San Joaquin Delta (1-2). Carson Simi had 17 points in the loss for the Mustangs.

Tony Costello Tip Off Tournament

In final day action in Livermore, Alfred Njunge had 30 points and Keenami Maggard added 18 points as Los Medanos (3-0) picked up a 88-77 victory over Butte (1-2).

John Wade had 23 points and Miles Lewis added 11 points as Contra Costa moved to 3-0 with a 79-69 win over Sacramento (0-3). Jake Paxton made six three pointers and had 21 points and Andre Albason added 17 points in the loss for the Panthers.

In the finale of the three day event, Brandon Fisher and Dominick Victor each had 14 points as 14th ranked Las Positas (2-1) cruised past Siskiyous 89-56. Kody Bauman had 15 points in the loss for Siskiyous (0-3).

Frank Garcia Tip Off Tournament

Karl Jones had 21 points and 14 rebounds and Richard McMichael added 21 points as Los Angeles Southwest (2-0) hit the century mark for the 2nd day in a row picking up a 102-95 victory over 9th ranked Mt. San Jacinto (0-2). Isaiah Skinner made seven three pointers and had 30 points and 7 rebounds and Anton Mozga added 19 points and 10 rebounds in the loss for the Eagles.

In the second game of the day, Dorian Harris made seven three pointers en route to 31 points and Jalen Shores added 11 points as 14th ranked Cerritos (2-0) won their second straight cruising past Desert 92-70. DJ Adams had 21 points and 5 assists and Koby Alvarez added 19 points in the loss for Desert (0-2).

Saratoga, CA – (3) West Valley 113 Diablo Valley 87

Adam Afifi had 25 points and Ben Baker added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists as 3rd ranked West Valley (2-0) went over the century mark for the second time in a row and cruised to a 113-87 win over Diablo Valley (0-2). Josh Niusulu had 25 points and Tyler Brinkman added 15 points in the loss for the Vikings.

Salinas, CA – (13) Allan Hancock 78 Hartnell 71

Matt Solomon had 22 points and Amari Stroud added 19 points and 14 rebounds as 13th ranked Allan Hancock (1-1) picked up their first win of the season knocking off Hartnell 78-71 on Saturday evening. Kenan Andrews had 20 points and Jimmy Hardin added 21 points for Hartnell (1-1) in the loss.

Darryl Brooks II had 19 points and three other Cougars scored 9 points as Cuesta (1-0) won their home opener 74-73 over De Anza (0-1).

Coalinga, CA – West Hills Coalinga 104 El Camino 55

Jabari Merritt had 20 points and Fredery Cuello added 18 points and 10 rebounds as West Hills-Coalinga (1-0) exploded for 104 points and won their season opener 104-55 against El Camino (0-3).
