Fullerton Tournament – Fullerton, CA

Conner Jackson scored 25 points and Ryan Johnson added 18 points as 5th ranked Sequoias (7-2) opened up a 14 point halftime lead and cruised to a 89-74 victory over 11th ranked Los Angeles Southwest (9-3). Brandon Frederick had another big game as the guard scored a game high 28 points and Cavin Paige added 17 points for the Cougars in the loss.

In the other semi final, Jonathan Ogugua had 15 points and Taleh Wade added 11 points as 3rd ranked San Diego (9-2) won their fifth straight game and will face Sequoias in the championship game after picking up a 67-54 win over Chaffey (4-6). Eric Milner had 14 points and Eulysses Foston added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the loss for the Panthers who will face Los Angeles Southwest in the 3rd place game tomorrow.

In the consolation bracket, top ranked Fullerton (9-1) got back on track with a 59-54 win over 4th ranked West Los Angeles (8-3). Kobe Newton had 15 points and Ronnie Stapp chipped in with 14 points for the Hornets who held West Los Angeles to 37% shooting from the floor. Matthew Mayes scored 21 points and Roy Clarke added 12 points in the loss for the Wildcats.

In other action, Francis Dogani had 19 points and Chris Chiles added 15 points as 9th ranked Citrus (7-3) will face top ranked Fullerton tomorrow after picking up a 84-73 win over Southwestern (3-8). Paris Smith had 13 points and Alex Archer added 12 points in the loss as the Jaguars will take on West Los Angeles tomorrow.

Santa Rosa, CA – (1) San Francisco 90 Santa Rosa 87

Naseem Gaskin scored a game high of 28 points and Devan Sapp added 16 points as top ranked San Francisco (8-1) won their fourth straight game with a 90-87 road win over Santa Rosa (3-5). Shannon Ferguson had 21 points and Aaron Porcil added 17 points in the loss for the Bearcubs.

Santa Barbara Tournament – Santa Barbara, CA

In day two action in Southern California, D.J. Adams scored 24 points and Marquis McKinzey added 21 points and made seven three pointers as Desert (2-7) advanced to the championship game with a 78-60 win over Los Angeles Valley (1-9). Andre Parris had 20 pooints and Maxx Hazely added 13 points in the loss.

In the 2nd semi final of the day, 2nd ranked Ventura (11-0) won their 11th straight game with a 75-71 win over Bakersfield (6-4). Adrain McIntyre scored 36 points and Anthony Garza added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the win for the Pirates. Tyrell Coleman and Rahmel Davis each had 14 points in the loss for the Renegades. Bakersfield will face Los Angeles Valley in the 3rd place game and Ventura will take on College of the Desert in the title game of the tournament.

In the other half of the bracket, Kameron Mayhan had 17 points and 7 rebounds and Christian St. James added 16 points as Long Beach (6-6) cruised past Oxnard 93-57 to advance to the consolation championship. James Webster led the Condors with 18 points and 13 rebounds and was the only Oxnard (2-6) player in double figures.

Brycyn Gossett and Adam Weingard each scored 18 points as Santa Barbara (5-8) moved into the consolation championship game with a 85-73 win over Pasadena (0-11). With the win, the Vaqueros will take on Long Beach in the consolation final and Padsadena will face Oxnard .

Orange, CA – (6) Santiago Canyon 80 Palomar 67

Drew Yezbak had 18 points and Preston Sims and David Agba each chipped in 17 points as 6th ranked Santiago Canyon (10-1) won their seventh straight game with an 80-67 win over Palomar (7-4). Noah Woodby had 15 points and Chad Robinson added 14 points in the loss for the Comets.

Gilroy, CA – Gavilan 96 Alameda 81

Tahjae Ordonio scored 29 points and Jailemn Daniel-Dalton added 17 points as Gavilan (7-6) won their third straight game with a 96-81 home win against Alameda (1-6). Jase Brock had 22 points and Jacoby Simon added 19 points in the loss for the Cougars.

Irvine, CA – (12) Irvine Valley 80 Mt. San Antonio 59

Luc Krystkowiak had 24 points and 15 rebounds and Josh Walker added 15 points and 10 rebounds as 12th ranked Irvine Valley (7-3) won their sixth straight game with a 80-59 thrashing of Mt. San Antonio (7-4). Shaquil Bender scored a game high of 26 points and was the only Mountie in double figures in the loss.

Redwood City, CA – Canada 70 Siskiyous 67

Jasaiah Cox had 20 points and Jevon Jesus added 17 points as Canada (2-7) edged Siskiyous 70-67 on Friday evening. Javarus Keith had 20 points and Kody Bauman added 16 points for Siskiyous (5-8) in the loss for the Eagles.

Glendale, CA – Glendale 94 El Camino 60

Jacob Finney scored 16 points and Andre Scott added 13 points as Glendale (9-5) won their home opener and their third straight game with a 94-60 victory against El Camino (1-10). Elliot Kerley had 12 points and Emilio Alvarez added 11 points in the loss for the Warriors.

Hayward, CA – (10) Chabot 92 Diablo Valley 83

Diggy Winbush had 17 points and Skyler Robinson added 16 points and 6 rebounds as 10th ranked Chabot (5-3) won their second straight game with a 92-83 win over Diablo Valley (4-5). Casey Cappo had 22 points and Josh Niusulu added 17 points in the loss for the Vikings.

Modesto Tournament – Modesto, CA

Parker Hunt had 18 points, 12 rebounds and 8 blocks and Jayden Madise added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists as 14th ranked Monterey (9-2) continued their hot start with a 74-73 win in overtime over Modesto (2-8). Jacob Staton had 23 points in the loss for the Pirates.

In the second game of the night, West Hills Coalinga (4-7) picked up a 75-64 win over Lassen (1-12). Darien Guyton had 15 points and Trey Wilmot added 14 points in the loss for the Cougars.

Blythe, CA – Palo Verde 107 Imperial Valley 99

Six Palo Verde (7-5) players scored in double figures as Daijohn Stewart had 18 points and Larry Hemingway and Domineque Johnson each added 17 points. Hemingway also had 8 assists and 7 rebounds for the Pirates in the victory over Imperial Valley 107-99. Shedrick Lockridge had 34ppoints and Mathew Montalvo added 20 points in the loss for Imperial Valley (0-9) which made 22 three pointers in the loss.

Merced, CA – (12) Redwoods 106 Merced 80

Donald Willis scored 28 points and Drew Gillette added 21 points as 12th ranked reach the 100 point mark and cruised to a 106-80 win over Merced (2-8).

Moorpark, CA – Moorpark 80 Santa Ana 77

Ben Condra had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Angel Hammer added 15 points as Moorpark (8-8) moved to an even .500 with an 80-77 victory over Santa Ana (3-7). Camren Johnson had 14 points and Ian Hietala added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the loss for the Dons.

Costa Mesa, CA – (14) San Diego Miramar 73 Orange Coast 70

Jacob Doffing had 26 points and 12 rebounds and Cameron Barry added 20 points and 12 rebounds as 14th ranked San Diego Miramar (6-2) slipped past Orange Coast 73-70. It was the second straight win for the Jets over the Orange Empire Conference opponent. Jydon Hall had 19 points and Aundrel Pua added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the loss for Orange Coast (4-6).
