Fabian Reichstadt scored 28 points and Alex Harris added 20 points as Gavilan (2-0) knocked off 12th ranked Merced 93-84 in overtime for their second straight victory to start the season. Mike Teal scored 27 points and Tyreon Payne added 22 points in the loss for Merced (2-2) which played in an overtime game for the fourth time this season.

Fullerton, CA – (1) Fullerton 72 (5) Porterville 62

Sophomore point guard Sean Newman scored 20 points and added 6 assists and Shaquil Bender added 14 points and 5 rebounds as top ranked Fullerton (3-0) picked up a 72-62 over 5th ranked Porterville (1-1) at home early Tuesday night. Assad Madassalia scored 11 points and was the only Pirate in double figures for Porterville.

Glendora, CA – (2) Citrus 83 (6) Long Beach 80

Anthony Tello scored 20 points and added 8 rebounds and Uriah Foster added 18 points and 7 rebounds as 2nd ranked Citrus (2-0) stayed unbeaten with a 83-80 win over 6th ranked Long Beach (2-1). Bonard Johnson Jr scored 26 points and Shane Hunter added 14 points and 4 rebounds in the loss for the Vikings.

Riverside, CA – (7) Riverside 89 Los Angeles Valley 65

Lynden Paul had 19 points and Reggie Ward added 18 points and 7 rebounds as 7th ranked Riverside (4-0) cruised to an 89-65 win over Los Angeles Valley (1-3). Andre Parris had 18 points in the loss for the Monarchs.

Kentfield, CA – (6) West Valley 82 Marin 72

Elijah Mahi scored 31 points and Jeremiah Dargan added 13 points as 6th ranked West Valley (3-0) won their third straight game with a 82-72 road victory over Marin (1-3). Daniel Fagan had 16 points and Tre McPherson added 14 points in the loss for the Mariners.

Damsascus Sanders and Harlan Nichols each scored 22 points as Southwestern (2-2) picked up a 71-62 home win against Cypress (1-1). Hadi Essayli had 18 points and Grant Sii added 17 points in the loss for the Chargers.

Elisee Ehuie had 26 points and 11 rebounds and Supreme Niles added 15 points and 8 assists as West Hills Coalinga (2-0) remained unbeaten with a 102-95 victory over Cuesta (1-1).
