Alvin Hunter Classic – San Bernardino, CA

In first round action in San Bernardino, Gavin Davis had 20 points and 7 assists and Naeem Lewis added 14 points and 5 rebounds as West Los Angeles (3-1) won their third straight game crushing California Miramar 134-74 on Friday afternoon.

In the second game of the day, Jimuel Reyes continued to play well as the sophomore had 24 points and 4 assists and James Burries added 13 points as 14th ranked Saddleback (3-1) advanced to the semi finals with a 83-66 win over Moorpark (1-2). Jermiah Windham had 14 points and Jamal Unuakhalu finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds in the loss for the Raiders. Saddleback will face West Los Angeles in the semi finals and Moorpark will face Cal Miramar on the consolation side of the bracket tomorrow.

In other action, Greg Melvin had 19 points and 7 rebounds and Tyrelle Hunt added 16 points and 11 rebounds as 4th ranked East Los Angeles (1-0) opened up the season with a 81-67 win over Santa Monica (1-3). Malachi Wright had 13 points and 8 rebounds and Cam Cohn added 11 points in the loss for the Corsairs.

In the finale of the day, Sebastian Mendoza had 22 points and Armon Muldrew added 17 points as 3rd ranked San Bernardino (1-0) used a huge 2nd half and won their season opener 88-58 over Compton (0-3) and advanced to the semi finals tomorrow. Lamin Williams had 15 points and James Baker-Dunlap added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the loss for the Tartars. San Bernardino will face East Los Angeles in the semi finals and Compton will take on Santa Monica in the consolation bracket.

George Goto Classic – Rocklin, CA

In day two action in Rocklin, Te’Jon Sawyer had 21 points and 10 rebounds and Matt Williams added 20 points and 8 rebounds as top ranked San Francisco crushed Feather River 140-55 Friday afternoon.

In the second game of the day, Sierra (2-1) won their second straight game with a 62-57 win over Shasta (0-5).

Saratoga, CA – (6) West Valley 86 Fresno 75

Jeremiah Dargan scored 23 points and Elijah Mahi posted 21 points as 6th ranked West Valley (4-0) won their fourth straight game with a 86-75 victory over Fresno (2-1). Nash Wobrock had 16 points and Sage Borbon added 12 points in the loss for the Rams.

Oceanside, CA – (10) Santiago Canyon 95 (15) MiraCosta 79

In a battle of top 15 teams within our Socal Signal The Light Basketball rankings, Aaron Wadman had 21 points and Adam Holod added 18 points as 10th ranked Santiago Canyon (3-1) won their third straight game with a 95-79 win over 15th ranked MiraCosta (2-2).

Irvine Valley Classic – Irvine, CA

In the championship game, Jalen Shores and Justin Stephens each had 16 points as 11th ranked Cerritos (3-0) remained unbeaten with a 69-53 win over Irvine Valley (2-1). Charlie Henderson had 17 points and 11 rebounds and Marcus Carter added 15 points in the loss for the Lasers.

In the 3rd place game, Marcus Watson had 21 points and 7 rebounds and Adrian McIntyre added 20 points and 8 rebounds as 8th ranked Ventura (3-2) picked up a 86-73 win over 13th ranked Canyons (2-2). Dillon Barrientos scored 17 points and Andrew Henderson added 14 points in the loss for the Cougars.

Stockton, CA – San Joaquin Delta 75 Canada 73

Kendrick Curry had 23 points and Matthew Oli added 13 points as San Joaquin Delta (2-2) slipped past Canada 75-73 on Friday night. Wesley Burns had 17 points in the loss for Canada (2-1).

American River Classic – Sacramento, CA

In day two action in Sacramento, Cole Bernius had 18 points and Case Ealy added 14 points as Siskiyous (3-2) won their second straight game with a 86-61 win over De Anza (0-4).

In the other game of the night, Cole Rutherford had 14 points and Darien Guyton added 12 points as Lassen (2-3) won their second straight game with a 71-58 win over American River (0-4).

Ridgecrest, CA – Cerro Coso 82 San Diego Mesa 77

In non conference action, Palomar (3-1) won their second straight game with a huge 113-87 road victory over 6th ranked Long Beach (2-2). Shane Hunter had 18 points and Kameron Mayhan added 17 points in the loss for the Vikings.

In early action in El Cajon, DaMari Tate had 18 points and Jaylan Walton added 16 points as West Hills Lemoore (2-2) won their second straight game with a 88-79 win over Cuyamaca (1-3).

In other action down south, Dasean Stevens had 22 points and Kyle Render added 21 points as Mt. San Jacinto (1-1) picked up their first win of the season blowing out Imperial Valley 108-41.

Ukiah, CA – Redwoods 92 Mendocino 71

Trey Neff scored 28 points and Ty Neff added 23 points as Redwoods (5-0) won their fifth straight game with a 92-71 road win over Mendocino (0-1). Jack Reordon had 24 points and AJ Cuffie added 13 points in the loss for the Eagles.
