Modesto Tournament – Modesto, CA

In first round action in Northern California, AJ Cuffie had 22 points and Jack Reardon added 13 points as Mednocino (2-5) advanced to the semi finals with a 68-67 win over 3rd ranked Ohlone (8-1) on a late jumper by Brandon Macharia. Matthew Villanueva had 17 points and Nebiyu Teklemariam added 13 points in the loss for the Renegades.

In other first round action, Leo Wagner had 19 points and Khyri Marshall added 14 points as Sacramento (6-4) won their 2nd straight game with a 76-72 win over 14th ranked West Hills Lemoore (6-4). Kesean Bazlie had 15 points and Jose Martinez added 14 points in the loss for the Golden Eagles. Sacramento will face off against Mendocino in the semi finals and West Hills Lemoore will take on Ohlone in the consolation bracket.

On the other side of the bracket 9th ranked Fresno (6-1) won their fourth straight game after cruising to a 79-52 victory over Lassen (3-10).

In the night cap, Carlos Hernandez had 24 points and Joshua Allen added 14 points as Modesto (2-8) advanced to the semi finals with a 76-57 win over West Hills Coalinga (6-4). Supreme Niles had 28 points and Elisee Ehule added 15 points in the loss for the Falcons. Modesto will face Fresno in the semi finals and West Hills Coalinga will take on Lassen in the consolation bracket.

Riverside Tournament – Riverside, CA

In day two action in Riverside, Noel Scott had 21 points and 7 rebounds and JT Langston added 20 points and 10 rebounds as 6th ranked East Los Angeles (5-2) picked up a 82-67 victory over top ranked Cerritos (7-2). Everett May had 19 points and 6 rebounds and Jonathan Salazar added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the loss for the Falcons.

In other games in Socal, Marcus Watson had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Michael Noulowe added 17 points as 11th ranked Ventura (8-4) handed 8th ranked Saddleback a 77-67 loss on Thursday afternoon. Nick Bowden made five threes and had 24 points and James Burries added 20 points and 6 rebounds in the loss for Saddelback (6-3).

In the final game of the day, Mateo Blocker had 21 points and Cameron Durr added 15 points as 15th ranked Mt. San Jacinto (8-1) won their eighth straight game with a 75-60 win over 4th ranked Riverside (7-2). Tomi Adesiji and Julian Alvarez each scored 14 points in the loss for the Tigers.

Fullerton Tournament – Fullerton, CA

In the first game of the day, Jayden Johnston had 22 points and 6 rebounds and Ty Barlow added 15 points as 2nd ranked Citrus (7-2) upended 14th ranked Los Angeles Southwest 95-70. Koron Davis had 23 points and 10 rebounds and Dondre Watson added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the loss for Los Angeles Southwest (5-3).

In the second game of the day, Jonathan Neal had 26 points and 6 rebounds and Miguel Robles added 15 points as Chaffey (7-1) held off 13th ranked West Los Angeles 82-78. Elijah Charles had 15 points and 10 rebounds and Naeem Lewis added 13 points in the loss for West Los Angeles (7-5).

In the final game of the night in Orange County, Sean Newman had 29 points and 5 assists and RJ Banks added 21 points as 3rd ranked Fullerton (9-1) got a victory over 5th ranked San Diego 97-84 in a battle of two top five teams in Southern California within our Signal The Light Basketball rankings. Kevin Bradley Jr. had 21 points and Anthony Howell added 19 points and 8 rebounds in the loss

Santa Barbara Classic – Santa Barbara, CA

In first round action, Armon Muldrew had 29 points and Dominique Daniels added 21 points and 8 assists as 9th ranked San Bernardino (4-2) advanced to the semi finals with a 99-72 first round victory over Oxnard (3-6). James Webster had 24 points and 14 rebounds and Aries Vega added 21 points in the loss for the Condors.

In other action, David Huggins had 19 points and Khalil Forrester added 19 points and 6 rebounds as Los Angeles Valley (4-6) moved into the next round with a 78-73 win in overtime over Cerro Coso (4-5). Jalen Williams had 19 points and Jordan Howard added 17 points in the loss for the Coyotes. Los Angeles Valley will now face San Bernardino in the semi finals while Cerro Coso will take on Oxnard in the consolation bracket.

In the other side of the bracket, Aidan Mandel had 24 points and 10 rebounds and Trevor Lee added 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists as Santa Barbara (3-8) picked up a 83-74 win over Desert (0-7) to advance to the semi finals. Rickey Adam Bell had 16 points and Isaiah Goad added 15 points in the loss.

In the last game of the first round, Dusten Henderson had 20 points and 9 rebounds and Rahmel Davis added 19 points and 6 rebounds as Bakersfield (4-4) upset 12th ranked Long Beach 92-87 to advance to the semi finals. Bonard Johnson Jr. had 20 points and Chris Herrera added 15 points and 6 assists in the loss for Long Beach (7-4). Bakersfield will face Santa Barbara in the semi finals and Desert will take on Long Beach in the consolation bracket.

Napa, CA – Napa Valley 71 San Joaquin Delta 64

Albert Dennis had 21 points and Chris Thompson added 15 points as Napa Valley (3-7) picked up a 71-64 win over San Joaquin Delta (2-7). Kendrick Curry had 28 points and Arvind Sandhu added 13 points in the loss for the Mustangs.

Daniel Malagon had 18 points and Jacob Harper added 17 points as 11th ranked San Jose (9-3) won their fifth game in a row with a 83-76 home win against 4th ranked Yuba (6-2).

Merced, CA – (13) Cabrillo 97 Merced 73

Darius Best had 17 points and Dylan Power added 12 points as 13th ranked Cabrillo (7-3) went on the road and picked up a 97-73 win over Merced (3-8).
