Fresno advances to Modesto Tourney Final

Modesto Tournament – Modesto, CA

In the semi finals, Sage Borbon had 16 points and Grimmett Glen added 15 points as 7th ranked Fresno (7-1) won their fifth straight game and advanced to the championship game blasting Modesto 116-74. Lydell King had 17 points for Modesto (2-9) in the loss.

In the other semi final, Leo Wagner had 22 points and Andrew Ferrarra Jones added 16 points as Sacramento (7-4) won their third straight game with a 85-60 win over Mendocino (2-6). AJ Cuffie had 18 points in the loss for the Eagles. Sacramento will face Fresno in the finals and Mendocino will take on Modesto in the 3rd place game.

In the consolation bracket, Michael Fastion had 22 points and 8 rebounds as 3rd ranked Ohlone (9-1) advanced to the consolation championship with a 69-67 win over 15th ranked West Hills Lemoore (6-5).

In the second game on the consolation side, Joey Summers had 12 points and Trey Wilmot added 11 points as Lassen (4-10) ended a six game losing streak with a 71-61 win over West Hills Coalinga (6-5). Lassen will face Ohlone in the consolation championship game and West Hills Lemoore will take on West Hills Coalinga in the 7th place game.

Santa Barbara Tournament – Santa Barbara, CA

In the semi finals of the first game Dominique Daniels had 18 points and 5 assists and Sebastian Mendoza added 17 points and 7 rebounds as 9th ranked San Bernardino (5-2) won their fourth straight game and advanced to the title game with a 72-52 win over Los Angeles Valley (4-7). Nikko Rodriguez had 10 points and was the only Monarch player in double figures.

In the second semi final, Sean Fry had 21 points and Rahmel Davis added 21 points and 9 rebounds as Bakersfield (5-4) picked up a 74-68 win over tournament host Santa Barabara (3-9) to advance to the championship game. Aidan Mandel had 25 points and 11 rebounds and Wilfrid Nado added 15 points in the loss for the Vaqueros. Bakersfield will face San Bernardino in the title game and Santa Barbara will take on Los Angeles Valley in the 3rd place game.

In the consolation bracket in day two action, sophomore James Webster scored 25 points and added 10 rebounds and Aries Vega chipped in with 20 points as Oxnard (4-6) advanced to the consolation championship with a 90-71 win over Cerro Coso (4-6). Destin Jenkins had 25 points and 7 rebounds and Jordan Howard added 20 points in the loss for the Coyotes.

In the second game on the consolation side, Lorenzo Marsh had 20 points and 8 rebounds and Kameron Mayhan had 16 points and 13 rebounds as 12th ranked Long Beach (8-4) advanced to the consolation title game with a 82-70 win over Desert (0-8). Isaiah Robinson Williams had 20 points and Rickey Adam Bell added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the loss for the Roadrunners. Long Beach will face Oxnard tomorrow while Desert will take on Cerro Coso.

Fullerton Classic – Fullerton, CA

In day two action in Fullerton, Anthony Tello had 15 points and Chris Chiles added 13 points as Dylon Davis hit a game winning three pointer as 2nd ranked Citrus (8-2) slipped past Chaffey 83-82 on Friday afternoon. Isaiah Barcelo had 19 points and Jonathan Neal added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the loss for Chaffey (7-2).

In other action, Kailen Rains had 20 points and 5 rebounds and Kevin Bradley Jr. added 14 points as 5th ranked San Diego (8-2) cruised past 14th ranked Los Angeles Southwest (5-4). Koron Davis had 22 points and 8 reboounds and Dondre Watson added 17 points in the loss.

In the final game of the night, Jermiah Davis had 14 points and Javon Jones added 13 points and 6 rebounds as 3rd ranked Fullerton (10-1) picked up a 84-70 win over 13th ranked West Los Angeles (7-6). Benjamin Ramirez had 23 points and 7 rebounds and Collin Weems added 11 points in the loss for the Wildcats.

Sonora, CA – (2) Columbia 96 Shasta 58

Kobe Nunes and Parker Tuttle each scored 17 points as 2nd ranked Columbia (11-1) won their ninth straight game with a 96-58 victory over Shasta (3-9). Josiah Palumbo had 24 points in the loss for the Knights.

Oceanside, CA – MiraCosta 80 Santa Ana 74

Kobe Smith had 24 points and Javion Langston added 14 points as MiraCosta (6-4) picked up a 80-74 win over Santa Ana (3-6).

Hayward, CA – Chabot 90 Marin 72

Jaiden Rivera had 22 points and 7 rebounds and David Hector added 15 points and 9 rebounds as Chabot (5-3) ended a three game skid and picked up a 90-72 non conference win over Marin (4-7). Daniel Fagan had 18 points and Anton Williams added 14 points in the loss for the Mariners.

Coos Bay, OR – (8) Redwoods 69 Southwestern Oregon 68

Jon Nchekwube had 24 points and Trey Neff added 19 points as 8th ranked Redwoods (13-1) won their sixth straight game with a 69-68 win over Southwestern Oregon.

San Bruno, CA – Siskiyous 82 Skyline 77

Landon Ellis had 21 points and Dylan Neufeld added 17 points as Siskiyous (8-5) picked up a 82-77 road win over Skyline (5-5). Ryan Wilson had 17 points and DeAndre Minor added 17 points in the loss for the Trojans.

Folsom, CA – Folsom Lake 87 De Anza 70

Jevon Robinson had 20 points and Donovan Cokley added 15 points as Folsom Lake (4-6) won their second straight game with a 87-70 win over De Anza (2-9).

Kai Smith had 25 points and 7 rebounds and had Aaron Wadmn added 22 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists as Santiago Canyon (7-4) picked up a 84-74 win over Palomar (8-4). Andrew Milot had 19 points and Ciro Baeza added 15 points in the loss for the Comets.

Jailen Daniel Dalton had 20 points as Gavilan (8-3) stayed hot as the Rams won a 49-42 defensive battle over Santa Rosa (2-7) in non conferene action. Nolan Capurro had 12 points for the Bearcubs in the loss.

Michael Batchelor had 23 points and Jaume Arnel added 12 points as 7th ranked San Diego Miramar (9-1) won their fourth straight game with a 82-62 win over Orange Coast (7-3).
