Cabrillo wins 10th straight with win over Columbia

In the championship game of a battle between two unbeaten teams, Jaden Cunningham made five three pointers and had 25 points, and Darius Best and Solomon Tucker each added 17 points as 3rd ranked Cabrillo (10-0) won their tenth straight game with a 102-80 win over 8th ranked Columbia (10-1).

In the 3rd place game, San Mateo (5-6) picked up a 73-61 win over Folsom Lake (4-5). Te’And Indalecio had 17 points and Jordan Hess added 11 points in the loss for the Falcons.

In the consolation final, Butte (4-6) slipped past Feather River 69-67 on Sunday afternoon. TJ Steed had 18 points and Jerel Victor added 10 points in the loss for Feather River (3-7).

In the 7th place game of the tournament, Kymani Ladi had 26 points and Josh Palmer added 19 points as Merritt (2-7) snapped a five game losing streak with a 71-64 win over Alameda (1-9).

Gregg Anderson Memorial Tournament- Lancaster, CA

In the championship game Myles Watkins had 19 points and Shant Chenorhavorian added 13 points and 5 rebounds as Pasadena (4-4) won their third straight game with a 72-51 win over Palo Verde (6-3). Jaylen Ayala had 12 points in the loss for the Pirates.

In the 3rd place game, Tre Hawkins had 21 points and 4 rebounds and Josh Montiano added 16 points and 8 rebounds as tournament host Antelope Valley (3-5) picked up a 107-98 home win over Ventura (4-6). Carter Alexander had 24 points and Kai Johnson added 23 points and 7 assists in the loss for the Pirates.

In the consolation championship game, Kameron Brown had 18 points and 11 rebounds and GD Deng added 10 points and 8 rebounds as Los Angeles Pierce (4-6) cruised to a 65-39 win over Imperial Valley (1-9). Jacob Vargas had 10 points in the loss for the Arabs.

In the 7th place game, Jordan Malveaux had 28 points and 7 rebounds and Mardochee Sambou added 25 points and 5 rebounds as Victor Valley (4-5) cruised passed the University of Antelope Valley JV team 112-87 to take home 7th place.

Grossmont Invitational

In the championship game of the Grossmont Invitational, Alex Crawford had 16 points and 6 rebounds and Al Green added 15 points as 2nd ranked San Diego (8-2) won their fourth straight game with a 71-69 victory over 2nd ranked Yuba (6-1). Caden Flowers had a game high of 27 points and Devon Malcolm added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the loss for the 49ers.

In the 3rd place game of the tournament, Romero Hutchinson had 19 points and 6 rebounds and Devon Jainlett added 14 points and 6 rebounds as Los Angeles Trade Tech (5-3) used a late run in the 2nd half to pick up a 78-74 win over tournament host Grossmont (2-6). Elijah Williams had 14 points and 11 rebounds and Tre Edmond added 11 points in the loss.

In the consolation championship, Avi Halpert had 29 points and 6 assists and Jamaal Unuakalu added 19 points and 12 rebounds as 11th ranked Moorpark (8-3) picked up a 83-78 overtime win over 9th ranked Saddleback (6-3) to win the consolation championship. James Burries had 29 points and 6 rebounds and Andre Speight added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the loss for the Bobcats.

Damian Ruiz made four three pointers and had 20 points and Phil Bernardez added 15 points as Copper Mountain (4-4) picked up a 75-72 win over Palomar (5-5). Spivey Word had 28 points and 6 assists and Kryztian Walton added 25 points and 14 rebounds in a losing effort for the Comets.
