Copeland commits to Morgan State University

“6-6” Santa Monica point guard Daiquan Copeland has officially committed to Morgan State University. The sophomore point guard transferred from Frank Phillips Community College and is playing this season at Santa Monica Junior College. At Frank Phillips, Copeland played in 15 games in 2019-2020 and averaged 12.6 points and 3.7 rebounds. Morgan State plays in the Mid Eastern Athletic Conference and posted a 14-8 record in the 2020-2021 season. Copeland and the Corsairs will open up their 2021-2022 upcoming season on Thursday as Santa Monica will face Cypress on Thursday evening at 6pm.
