Jack Garrison made five three pointers and had 23 points and Antonio Reviere added 23 points and 12 rebounds as 24th seeded Copper Mountain (17-12) upset 9th seeded Cerritos 94-91 in first round action in the Southern California playoffs on Wednesday night. Jalen Shores had 25 points and Gorden Boykins added 20 points and 6 rebounds for Cerritos (19-10) in the loss. With the win, 24th seeded Copper Mountain will advance to the 2nd round and face 8th seeded San Diego on Saturday.
Culver City, CA – (16) West Los Angeles 74 (17) Allan Hancock 73
Gavin Davis had 18 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Devan Ford added 18 points as 16th seeded West Los Angeles (19-10) edged 17th seeded Allan Hancock (18-11) on two late free throws from Gavin Davis. Vondre Chase made five three pointers and Onias Outlaw added 15 points for Allan Hancock in the loss. It was a game that shot 60 free throws shot between two teams as the Wildcats advance to the 2nd round and will face top seeded Fullerton in the 2nd round on Saturday.

Nigel Wilson had 16 points and 10 rebounds and Rande Harper added 15 points as 12th seeded Pasadena (21-8) slipped past 21st seeded Cerro Coso 71-68 on Wednesday night in first round action of the playoffs. Nate Jackson made six three pointers and had 18 points and Adam Claybourne Jr added 14 points and 12 rebounds for Cerro Coso (17-12) in the loss. Pasadena moves on to the 2nd round and will face 5th seeded San Diego Miramar in the next round on Saturday.
Mission Viejo, CA – (13) Saddleback 81 (20) Moorpark 68
James Burries had 17 points and Gerald Jones added 17 points and 11 rebounds as 13th seeded Saddleback (19-10) advance to the 2nd round with a 81-68 victory over 20th seeded Moorpark (17-12) on Wednesday evening. Tim Lopez had 16 points and Angel Hammer added 14 points in the loss for the Raiders. Saddleback will next face 4th seeded San Bernardino on Saturday in 2nd round action in a rematch of an earlier game this season that saw the Bobcats knock off the Wolverines.

Jalen Monroe had 19 points and 13 rebounds and Reggie Ward added 14 points as 14th seeded Riverside (17-12) advanced to the 2nd round with a 79-63 win over 19th seeded Los Angeles Southwest (12-15). Louisville commit Koron Davis led the Cougars with 22 points and 8 rebounds and Omarion Shackleford added 15 points in the loss for LA Southwest. 14th seeded Riverside will next face 3rd seeded East Los Angeles in 2nd round action on Saturday.

BJ Brown made six three pointers and had 26 points and Dasean Stevens added 21 points and 10 rebounds as 11th seeded Mt. San Jacinto (23-5) advanced to the 2nd round with a 89-72 first round win over 22nd seeded Cuesta (15-14). Mason Romano had 23 points and 15 rebounds and Juani Dassie added 14 points in the loss for the Cougars. Mt. San Jacinto will next take on 6th seeded Los Angeles Harbor on Saturday after the home win in 1st round action.

Aaron Wadman had 23 points and 11 rebounds and Kai Smith added 17 points and 5 rebounds as 10th seeded Santiago Canyon (19-10) cruised to a 88-72 victory over 23rd seeded Chaffey (19-10) in 1st round action on Wednesday night. Isaiah Barcelo had 17 points and Miguel Robles added 13 points in the loss for the Panthers. 10th seeded Santiago Canyon will next travel to 7th seeded Ventura on Saturday in a intriguing 2nd round match up in the Southern California post season.

With the road win, Cypress will next face 2nd seeded Citrus in 2nd round action on Saturday evening.
