Saratoga, CA – (3) West Valley 80 (7) Contra Costa 55

Elijah Mahi had 18 points and Jeremiah Dargan added 16 points as 3rd ranked West Valley (9-0) won their ninth straight game crushing 7th ranked Contra Costa 80-55 on Thursday night. Seneca Willoughby had 14 points and Omari Stephen added 10 points and 4 rebounds in the loss for Contra Costa (4-3).

Monterey Bay Classic – Monterey, CA

In the first game of the day, Malik Edwards had 11 points as Diablo Valley (4-3) used a late second half surge to come back and beat De Anza 67-60 to advance to the semi finals tomorrow.

In game two of the tournament, Hadi Essayli scored 27 points as Cypress (2-5) advanced to the semi finals with a 63-52 win over Hartnell (1-7). Cypress will face Diablo Valley in the semi finals and Hartnell will take on De Anza in the consolation side of the upper half of the bracket.

In the third game of the day, Tre Titus had 18 points and 7 rebounds and Suheil Ibrahim added 13 points and 9 rebounds as Monterey (5-4) moved into the next round with a 82-75 victory over Santa Barbara (1-7).

In the final game of the night, Charlie Henderson had 19 points and 12 rebounds and Luke Farrington added 13 points and 8 rebounds as Irvine Valley (3-4) advanced to the semi finals with 66-55 win over Foothill (4-3). Alijah Washington had 12 points in the loss for the Owls. The Lasers will face Monterey in the semi finals aand Foothill will take on Santa Barbara in the consolation bracket.

Wild West Shoot Out – Culver City, CA

In the first game of the day, Shane Hunter went off for 25 points and 5 rebounds and Kameron Mayhan added 21 points and 14 rebounds as Long Beach (5-3) won their third straight game with a 101-93 victory over Orange Coast (5-2). Jydon Hall had 23 points and Logen Howard added 19 points in the first round loss.

In other first round action, Damascus Sanders remained hot as the sophomore scored 35 points and added 7 rebounds and Jason Danso added 15 points and 6 rebounds as Southwestern (6-4) won their fourth straight game with a 91-78 win over Barstow (0-9). Marc Docarmo hd 18 points and Anello Hill Zanoni added 14 points in the loss for the Roadrunners.

In other action later on in the day, Gavin Davis scored 21 points and Devan Ford added 16 points as 10th ranked West Los Angeles (6-3) handed Rio Hondo (3-6) their fourth straight loss with a 101-85 victory. George Ashley had 18 points and Alwyn Saddler added 16 points in the loss for the Roadrunners. West Los Angeles will next face Southwestern in the semi finals and Rio Hondo will match up against Barstow on the consolation side of the bracket.

In the finale of the night, Lee Hubbard III had 19 points and Remington Rofer added 13 points and 4 rebounds as MiraCosta (4-3) edged Los Angeles Valley 63-62. David Huggins had 16 points and 7 rebounds and Andre Parris added 13 points and 4 rebounds in the loss for Los Angeles Valley (2-5). MiraCosta will now face Long Beach and on the other side of the bracket Los Angeles Valley will take on Orange Coast.

James Clark Classic – Sacramento, CA

In day one action in Northern California, Jalen Patterson had 19 points and Isaiah Victor added 17 points as 10th ranked Las Positas (5-2) used a second half surge to edge Reedley 80-70. Josiah James had 25 points and Obadiah Curtis added 13 points in the loss for Reedley (3-4).

In the second game of the day, Andrew Ferrara-Jones hit the game winning shot and had 23 points and Moneyy Lott added 16 points and 14 rebounds as Sacramento (4-3) kept Feather River (0-10) winless with a 75-73 win. Fabian Cox had 17 points and Collin Tarver added 13 points in the loss.

In the third and final game of the day, Cosumnes River (5-3) won their second straight game with a 74-54 win over Siskiyous (6-4). Dyllan Neufeld had 10 points in the loss for the Eagles.

Tregs Classic Tournament – Eureka, CA

In day one action in Northern California, Shasta (2-7) picked up a 83-74 win over Mendocino (1-4). Jack Reardon had 19 points and Brandon Macharia added 17 points for the Eagles in the loss.

In the final game of the day, Trey Neff had 26 points nd Jon Nchekwube added 16 points as 14th ranked Redwoods (11-1) picked up a 70-63 win over Sierra (3-3).

Modesto, CA – (11) Los Medanos 99 Modesto 69

Devin Carson had 22 points and D’Montay Warner added 19 points as 11th ranked Los Medanos (5-3) went on the road and knocked off Modesto 99-69. Ethan Parker had 15 points and Joe Perez added 11 points in the loss for the Modesto (1-8).

Fairfield, CA – Solano 89 American River 65

Jonathon Cobbs had 32 points and 7 rebounds and Ajani Monroe added 13 points and 7 rebounds as Solano (1-7) picked up their first win of the season with a 89-65 win over American River (0-9). Jadevin Braund had 12 points and 6 rebounds and Tyrell Minor added 10 points in the loss for the Beavers.

Northern Idaho went on the road and picked up an 82-76 victory over Santa Rosa (2-5).

Palm Desert, CA – El Camino 85 Desert 61

El Camino (7-2) won their second game in a row with a 85-61 win on the road against Desert (0-6).
